The Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit, part # RM-15267, is the best option for you to use to flat tow your 2017 Jeep Wrangler. It will provide a 6-Way wiring harness to the front of your Wrangler that you can connect to the 7-Way on your RV with the included Flexo-Coil cord.

If your Wrangler has separate lighting you will need to use a wiring converter, part # 118158, along with 2 additional diodes, part # RM-792, to keep your turn and brake signals separate.

If you are using a supplemental braking system you will also need to use a brake relay kit, part # RM-88400.

To complete the flat towing setup for your 2017 Jeep Wrangler, if you don't already have the rest of the equipment, I recommend using these items:

Blue Ox Alpha Tow Bar with Safety Cables - # BX7380
Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - # BX1126 (this will fit with factory standard bumpers that do not have a winch or guard)
SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - # SM99251

Hello Jon G, I too installed this RM-15267 onto my 2017 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon for flat towing. As for the flat towing, the lights work perfectly after connecting everything. The problem, is this kit took out my towing lights on the back of my Jeep. When I connect a trailer now, there is no power coming from the trailer lights connector on the back of my Jeep. I think there must be something that had disconnected or blocked the signals from reaching the towing electrical connector (I have both 4-pin and 7-pin) to the Jeep. The trailer lights receptacle is fed off of the drivers side tail light with a factory OEM wiring harness that goes to the back of the Jeep. Is there another product or modification needed to get the trailer lights receptacle working again on my Jeep? Thanks in advance.

@StevenH Did you install it on your own, or did you have a shop do the installation? If your Jeep has an OEM plug for the trailer wiring, then the trailer light receptacle shouldn't be affected by the Roadmaster # RM-15267 wiring unless you messed with that wiring during the isntall.

@JonG I installed it on my own, following your installation video to the T. Like I said, the flat towing aspect with the RV connected to my toad vehicle (2017 Jeep Wrangler) worked perfectly. It's just now, the trailer lights aren't working any longer. They were working fine prior to that. I already confirmed a good fuse. There just isn't any power being transferred to the Trailer electrical outlet on the back of my Jeep right now. I am going to uninstall the diodes and basically reverse the wiring changes I did to install this product, following the video you guys provided, just to confirm if in fact the install is what caused this issue. I will let you know what I find out after this.

@StevenH Yes, please let me know what you find! The diode system shouldn't be affecting the OEM wiring functions, but if you mess with it and everything goes back to working properly, I can reach out to my contact at Roadmaster to see if they have any ideas.
