The install manual is 8 years out of date! My 2024 Volvo XC90 Recharge is a very different vehicle under the interior covers.
The power lead uses butt connectors, which are crap, when all that is needed is a two pole connector to plug into the vehicle battery connection box on top of the starter
battery.

I have a 2019 Volvo XC 90. It took about 2 hours to install The Drawtite hitch and taillight kit. Taillights worked perfectly. No programming the cars computer. Total price etrailer: less than $300. Volvo wanted $1,600.

Easy with online video
It’s my experience that installing wiring harnesses takes much longer than advertised if you want to complete a more “finished” installation. That is not the fault of the product, but a choice by the installer. This T-One wiring harness came with all of the components necessary for an installation on a 2022 Volvo XC90 T6 Inscription. It is really just plug and play. The hardest part is getting access to the locations to make the easy connections. Be prepared to remove interior finish panels, or find someone with long, thin, and flexible arms (!!!).
I can highly recommend this product.
Everyone told me Etrailer was THE place to shop, ask questions, etc. They were right. Will was excellent as I had a ton of questions. Ask for Will, he’s awesome!!
The directions are OK except you have to remove the "threshold" before you can remove the side panels. Also there is a little cap over the anchors that has to be removed to gain access to the hold down bolt. The battery on a Volvo 2019 is not in the engine compartment, but under the spare tire. Much easier to tie into.
everything worked perfectly, i was very happy with how easy this was to install and how well it worked. it did not mess with any of my car sensors or anything so i am very please. i would totally buy again if needed. directions could be a bit better in the box but youtube had some quick and easy help to make it work well.

works perfectly on our 2019 Volvo xc90, i am very happy with it.
Frankly working with etrailer is as easy as working with [online retailer], the one big difference is the personal interaction and the review/installation videos. I installed the wiring on my wife's Volvo just by watching the video and I am NOT mechanical in any way.

This was incredibly easy to install with the online video. The wires were all plenty long enough which is where a lot of companies cut corners since copper is very expensive. Thanks for selling a great product, it is appreciated.

Thanks for asking. I’ve only towed a small garden trailer a few times so far but I wouldn’t hesitate to haul a max load across the country and back. The Volvo suv the hitch is on stays garaged so I can’t give good feedback on how it would hold up in a salty slushy winter. Luckily we are in Georgia. : This was the third hitch I have installed on my vehicles and each one was perfect. If I end up needing another hitch I will be back. Thanks, have a nice day.
Be careful loosening the bolt to the negative battery terminal. The little box connected to the negative cable is only soldered or brazed together and while loosening the nut mine broke in half, rendering my car undrivable. Of course in the video, the nut is very easy to get off and there is no mention of the fact this piece can break.
I'm also not sure why the loop connector doesn't fit the battery terminal when this harness is supposedly made for the vehicle.
Bought the harness to wire my volvo to pull a small trailer.
Installed easily and works well.
The wiring fits perfectly and is easy to install. I would have given 5 stars if the instructions were easier to read/see. I couldn't even tell what the pictures were because the quality was so bad. I had to take interior panels off and feel around to find where the plugs were.
This is an excellent product and the customer service for install is great. I will only use etrailer in the future.

Works fine. Installing the harness requires skill in removing some trim and working out places to route wires near the Volvo wiring block for the rear compartment
