Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Hellwig Load Pro 35 Heavy Duty Helper Spring Set with the custom mounting hardware. This custom helper spring set is going to install above your vehicle's rear factory leaf springs. They will flex with the leaf springs to help limit bouncing while providing optimal stability. So that's gonna help to reduce your sway and body roll. It's also going to help prevent any sagging when towing or hauling your heavy loads.
These do provide a 3,500-pound weight capacity. Now, when you hear that, it's very tempting to think that means it's going to increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity. That's not the case. There's no suspension system on the market that's going to increase your weight carrying capacity. So think of these less like a second set of hands that's helping you lift more weight.
Think of them more like a back brace. So it's there to help take some of the strain off your factory suspension system. It's gonna help extend the life of not only your factory suspension, but also your tires and your brakes. These are gonna be very easy to get installed with the custom installation kit, and that kit is designed to make this very simple to put on the Rams and Ford vehicles that you see listed on the screen there. So if you have any of those, this is going to do a great job helping to support your factory suspension system.
Couple things to note. If your vehicle is equipped with a brake fluid proportioning valve, this consistent rate spring is not gonna be recommended. You'll want to get a progressive rate helper spring. That will work better for your system. If your vehicle is equipped with a factory contact overload, it may need to be removed before installing the new helper springs.
You will want to consult the installation guide to make sure. And these are not gonna be compatible with composite or plastic leaf springs and so you don't want to install them on a vehicle that has those composite leaf springs. The driver and passenger sides can be adjusted independently for your uneven load. So if you're gonna have a really heavy toolbox on one side or something like that, you can adjust the positioning to compensate for that. And these are made here in the USA of a very durable steel construction. So that's going to ensure a nice long-lasting performance. They do have this silver vein hammer-toned powdercoat finish that's going to prevent corrosion. Will last really well for you. These do come with a limited lifetime warranty, so if you we're to have any issues with them, you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com. But overall, I think this is gonna be a great upgrade to your suspension system, helps you prolong the life of your factory system, your tires, brakes, that sort of thing. That completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
Great Product
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
Customer service person Jill is a diamond in the rough, a consummate professional diservant of a pay raise. The Pro 35 helper springs exceeds my expectations.
RV was soft in the rear. These where not so bad to install. And make a big differance in stance abd ride. I think they are a must have.
Hard to review a product the day after it arrives sometimes. I did however mock the overloads up on the truck to make sure everything was going to fit. I need these to help with tongue weight on a bigger fifth wheel rv I tow. I like the fact that I can adjust preload tension. I also have timbrens under the truck but need to correct some sway under windy conditions. Time will tell.
Great service, people are great to work with, they back every they sell.
I've used E-Trailer for years
The product is great and installed fairly easy. The only issue I had was the box was not secure upon arrival and we had to make two plates that were missing. The box needs to be heavier.
etrailer customer support was great! Shipment to AK got damaged first time and they responded very quickly and sent me all the replacement parts I needed. The product is great and would definitely buy again if I swap out to a new truck!
The motorhome we own is famous for a droopy rear end, scraped bottom on any slope. We spent 2 months in Alaska including a trip to the Arctic Circle. The The Hellwig helper springs made a world of difference,no bottoming of the rear end.I have purchased a lot of products from etrailer and always found the to be; price competitive, good quality, fit accurate, in stock, fast shipping and provide before & after sales suppore.
I was very disappointed. etrailer only sent 1 of the two packages that was part of the complete item, shipped in two separate packages. I contacted them and they side it would be 45 days before they would receive the complete item.
I decided to return the first package and will try to find this item where I can get it sooner.
I have ordered other things from etrailer and have not had any problems.
