Features:

  • Reinforce your vehicle's rear suspension with extra leaf springs that prevent sagging and reduce sway by up to 30 percent

    • Lift your truck when you are carrying a heavy load and prevent bottoming out
  • Adjust automatically to your payload
    • Rollers on each end of the SuperSprings activate when the OEM springs flex under load
    • Rollers deactivate when OEM springs aren't under load
  • Customizable - the shackles attaching the SuperSprings provide several options for installation
    • Choose a setting that increases load support and ride height for constant heavy loads or to compensate for minor spring fatigue in an older automobile

SuperSprings diagram of roller and shackle system for extra leaf spring

These additional leaf springs add support and sway control to your existing OEM suspension. Just bolt on SuperSprings over your existing factory springs, and they automatically work when you need them. As the factory spring flexes, a roller at each end of the beefy helper spring reacts to engage the helper spring and to provide extra support. The springs help to better distribute cargo weight throughout your existing suspension, channeling that weight to the points on the frame that are designed to support heavy loads.

Placing these leaf springs above your factory springs helps to keep your OEM springs from twisting, so the SuperSprings act like a sway bar, reducing the body roll that makes driving more difficult and dangerous. With these helper springs, driving is safer and easier when it's windy, when your vehicle is rocked by a passing semitruck and when cornering. The springs help to reduce sway by up to 30 percent. SuperSprings also allow more wheel travel in the rear suspension when they are under load, so they maintain traction and ride comfort better than rubber or polyurethane bumpers. That means they're great for drivers who frequently tow.

Truck before SuperSpringsTruck after SuperSprings

You can also customize the level of support provided by SuperSprings. For most models, the shackles that attach the helper leaf springs to your existing leaf springs have several installation options:

  • For greater support and ride height when your suspension is under a constant load or if you have an older automobile with some spring fatigue, install the helper springs using the upper bolt holes
  • To maintain the factory ride and reduce the effect on your ride height, install using the lower bolt holes
  • To balance support, height and ride comfort, install using the upper hole on one end and the lower hole on the other

SuperSprings are a maintenance-free, low-cost alternative to air spring systems, which require constant monitoring and air pressure adjustment. These helper leaf springs respond automatically to the load you carry, so there is no crawling under your truck to adjust them. You'll also reduce wear and tear on your suspension, brakes and tires, which saves you money. The bolt-on installation means that they are easy to fit - no drilling required.

This suspension stabilizer kit is perfect for trucks towing fifth wheels, campers and gooseneck trailers.

SuperSprings diagram of springs set above and below the axle

An additional mounting kit is included for installation with factory springs that set above the axle.

For vehicles with factory leaf springs that set above the axle, this mounting kit ensures that SuperSprings operate silently when the vehicle isn't loaded. When factory springs set below the axle, the axle itself serves as a fulcrum for the helper leaf springs. However, for vehicles that have OEM springs that set above the axle, the 2-inch brackets in the mounting kit act as fulcrum points on the underside of the SuperSprings. Furthermore, the shackles at the ends of the helper springs hold them in place and pivot as the load is transferred to the SuperSprings. Because there is minimal preload tension in the installed SuperSprings, you get a quieter ride.

Video Transcript for All About the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the SuperSprings lines of custom suspension stabilizer and sway control kits. You'll want to use etrailer's fit guide to determine the correct kit for your vehicle. Here's what our SuperSprings are going to look like once we have them installed. Now these are going to give us the support we need whenever we're hauling a heavy load or towing a heavy trailer. Typically, whenever we're hauling something extremely heavy our suspension wants to flex a lot and our back end sags down. Well these are going to provide us the extra support by activating whenever our suspension flexes, the rollers on the end of our leaf spring are going to activate our helper spring and provide us that extra support.

But also still giving us a nice ride when we're not towing something heavy, because it's going to deactivate those springs and still have a nice comfortable ride. And since they are attached to the front and back of our factory leaf springs, it's also going to act like a sway bar and it's going to prevent our leaf springs from twisting. Giving us a lot more stability when we're driving down the road. The multiple notches in the end here are going to provide us with a little bit of customization, depending on how much support we need. If we need more or if we just have a little bit of spring fatigue in our truck, it'll give us that little bit of lift so whenever we're towing something we don't have quite as much sag.We have a water tank in the bed of our truck as a heavy load or to simulate the tongue weight of a heavy trailer or a fifth wheel. So as I take the truck through my test course, I can definitely tell that there's a load back there.

The engine doesn't seem to be straining that much, but the bumps are extremely harsh and I can definitely feel it resonating through the seat. When I come to the slalom course and I'm going through the turns it definitely has a lot of body roll and I just generally feel like I need to slow down because it feels like it's leaning a lot and it's not responding quickly enough to the turns. The SuperSprings installed and I have the same load back there. When I'm driving through our course I can immediately tell a difference. The bumps aren't as harsh because the truck isn't sagging down as much and there's a little bit more support back there. But really where I tell a big difference is through the slalom course.

It definitely feels way more stable and even taking the turns going in and out, it just feels like it really wants to stick to the ground a lot better and just generally wants to go faster.Compared to airbags, these are a maintenance free option with no tubes to run or air pressure to maintain. Similar to airbags you can customize the level of support provided. Unlike airbags however you do this during the installation and set it one time rather than on the fly adjustability you get with airbags. And that completes our look at the SuperSprings line of custom suspension stabilizer and sway control kits.

I used the SuperSprings to help support my Slide In Camper for my 2500 Chevy. They support good. I have Timbren installed also, but were bottomed out. After adding the SuperSprings with the Timbren the camper is supported good. The truck sits and rides level

Installing these on a 2020 F250 was easier than I thought it would be. I was able to get the springs on whit the center piece and the front shackle bolted without jacking up the truck. I had to jack the frame up a few inches on each side to get the back shackle bolt through. I put the shackle bolts through the bottom holes since I only need the extra support when I tow. I recommend air / power tools for the shackle nuts and it doesn’t hurt using them for the center bracket u bolts. They are lock nuts and they have a long way to run on for each bolt. I did have to bend my parking brake cable hangar out a bit for one of the shackle bolts to clear the cable. The truck seems to sit a little higher in the back. Maybe an inch or so. The ride empty seemed the same except it felt like it didn’t roll quite as much when turning. Rolling over a lip at the end of our driveway the extra stiffness was noticeable, however. I won’t know how well they really work until I get my fifth wheel hooked up.

This product did exactly what I needed. Lift the RV up to unloaded height. I have not exceeded the 12500 GCWR but the rear end was dragging like it was severely overloaded. It was a very tight fit because the mud flap framing and gas lines were almost in the way. An entire day later with a couple of clamps and sore wrists at max setting fixed the sag perfectly! I wish I had before and after pictures. I can almost fit my head in the wheel where I could not get my arm in before.

Had a problem with parts missing was taken care of and parts were sent right away I buy everything I need for my trucks and trailers from y’all quick shipping and great help

Thank Yoi

They increase the carrying capacity of the stock springs by adding an additional leaf. We drive our van with most of the load above the rear suspension and it was bottoming out on occasion. Works as advertised; no more bottoming out! It is a bit of a struggle to install, so a professional may be needed

by:

No issues with install on a 2023, E350 Class C motorhome.
After chalking the front wheels, I used two 3 ton floor jacks with 13” 6x6 blocks just behind the springs to lift the frame and rear tires off the ground to remove the wheels. For safety, 3 ton jack stands were put under the axles during spring installation
After installing the springs per manufacturer instructions, two 1/2” x 10” pieces of all thread with drilled flat bar were used to compress the front end spring.
With the least amount of preload it raised the back a good inch.
The 800# trailer tongue weight will be the next test to see if more preload is needed for a level ride height.

by:

The Super Springs work great! I pull a 8,500# trailer with a hitch weight of 950# with a 2004 GMC Sierra 1/2 Ton. The truck pulls fine but even with an equalizer hitch still had some sag. The Super Springs were easy to install and leveled the rig. After a year everything still works great.

by:

The install was pretty straightforward and so far they are doing exactly as they should. The packaging was less than desirable though. The box arrived, opened on one end and the springs hanging out of it. Both plastic bags with the smaller parts were ripped open as well. One nut was missing but fortunately I was able to match it up with what I had on hand.

by:

I have used the Superspring product on many Mercedes 2500 Sprinters.
The factory springs typically struggle to support the laden weight of the vehicle after it has been built out.
This helper spring is an excellent option to increase the capacity of the sprung weight in the rear of the vehicle.

by:

These worked great crossing the country last month.

by:

Installed on a 2016 Toyota Tundra. I pull a 28 foot aluminum frame utility trailer. Hauls like a 3/4 ton with super spring. Rides like 1/2 ton without load. I have put 1 ton load on truck with no trailer and the truck drove fine. The front of truck at tires rose 1/2 inch. Installation requires the frame to be lifted off the axel.at rear of vehicle. I like this system better than air shocks as there is no adjustment after installation. I would purchase again.

I got this to prevent bottoming out my truck when towing our travel trailer. Won't know for sure if this actually works until we load up. Having said that, the instructions provided with this are poor and talking with Supersprings tech support was frustrating. As mentioned elsewhere, you will need two "C" clamps to pre-load the spring and I wound up fabricating a 3" extension bracket for the brake lines; neither of which were mentioned in the instructions. I also removed the wheels to provide working space and air tools are definitely the way to go. On my '13 Tundra, the distance between the stock spring pack straps is 40" the same as the distance between the eyes on the Superspring. I was advised that the spring is mounted off-center to avoid conflict with the stock spring straps; however this in not mentioned in the instructions. This placed the Superspring about 4" forward of the center of the axel instead of centered on the axel. (see photos) This seems counterintuitive to me but we'll see. This added 1.5" in height to the rear of the truck. It took me 4 hours to install by my self, including time to fabricate the brake line extensions and dealing with Supersprings staff twice on the phone. During the second call, the tech mentioned that they get a lot of phone calls for Tundra installs, indicating to me that they already know there are issues with the product and instructions. In retrospect, I would look for a new spring pack if I was doing this again. Hopefully my suspicions are unfounded but I'm hanging on to the box just incase. Etrailer was great with the best price anywhere and quick shipping.

This was by far the easiest mod I have made to my 2019 Ford Super Duty King Ranch! Only took 45 minutes start to finish. Didn't even take the wheels off. Took some pressure off of the springs by lifting the rear end a little using the trailer hitch. Used the bottom holes on both ends and only raised the rear of the body 1 inch. Great product!

by:

The kit looks really good but I can’t figure out how to install. Enclosed are two photos showing my van suspension and the parts your sent. The instructions do not show my van with only one spring. Can you advise?????????????? Thanks.

by:

Overall, the installation of the SuperSprings kit went pretty well. The instructions sent with the kit were not all that clear, but the info on etrailer's website saved the day. Can't wait to put the camper back on the truck and see how it rides!

by:

Great product, fast shipping. My only complaint is the package was delivered with both ends of the box ripped open. Luckily no missing components

by:

We purchased the product and it arrived on time, scheduled the mechanic to install the springs at the mechanics shop on step 1 of the instructions that we needed a special bolt kit for an additional $120.00 this was very miss leading. We ordered the additional bolt kit should be delivered on 11/18/24 we will see what is next. It would have been nice to have a pop up or some type of information warning us of the additional bolt kit when ordering the product stating we needed to purchase and additional kit. Im not to impressed with the purchasing part of the SuperSprings experience, hopefully they will be a superior product so I can forget about the bad experience. We will see

by:

Product worked as described. Shipping was quick (etrailer used "air" to my state, then on UPS truck)
Easy to install, not sure why they included 2 sets of polyurethane blocks (only one set fit my truck)
Don't notice any ride difference when set at lowest setting. Raised truck approximately 3/4". East to readjust for more preload if needed.
Combined these Super Springs with Timbren load handlers. So far so good.
Great improvement over stock while maintaining ride quality.

by:

E-trailer agent James helped find trailer tow package that fit my 2011 Ford Transit Connect and provided appropriate install video. You're a huge help James. The install went smoothly without a hitch (lol).

by:

Great product, very clear instructions. I really appreciated the stickers on each spring showing the correct orientation, that took all of the guess work out of it.

Thanks Supersprings for making a great kit and confirming the product would work with the airbags I had installed.

by:

Just put on super springs 2019 f150 for towing a camper that is awful in wind. The installation was easy. Hoping the springs help with a stable ride. I will update when I get the camper out of storage.

by:

Added these springs to my 2500 Silverado to prepare for a slide in camper. They made quite a difference. I did it myself, but two people would be easier. The ride is naturally a little stiffer when empty, but that's the trade off.

by:

2013 Toyota Tundra 4x4. Installation went well in my garage with a medium sized C-Clamp. The ride feels that same as stock. Lifted the rear 1.5" which helped off set the 2.5" lift in the front from Fox 2.0 shocks. I have not hauled a load yet.

by:

i have these on a couple of trucks and they work great.more reliable than air bags

by:

A no-brainer. Worked perfect. I recommend this for any problems.

  • Will SuperSprings SSA15MTKT and SSA10MTKT Stabilizer Kits Change Ride Height of 2020 Ram 3500
Both the SuperSprings # SSA10MTKT and # SSA15MTKT have mounting shackles that have a series of 3 holes at different heights. If you use the lowest set of holes, the unloaded truck will remain at its current ride height. The next level of holes will raise the unloaded truck by about 1 inch and the top holes will raise the truck by about 1-1/2 to 2 inches when unloaded. The # SSA15MTKT provides up to 2600 lbs of additional support and the # SSA10MTKT provides 1500 lbs of support. Both kits...

If it is the HD version then instead you will use their similar kit # SSA10MTKT. You would benefit from some suspension enhancement on your 2004 Dodge Ram and in-bed camper. However, you would not need 2 separate systems. One would be sufficient. Since a camper is pretty much a static load (does not vary greatly in size or shape) going with rubber springs or leaf springs would be the way to go. My top choice is a Timbren system, # TDR2500CA. These springs are going to help stabilize and level the truck, reduce road shock and side to side roll. They have a high 6,000...
