This is my second Air Lift 7500XL purchase from Etrailer. Each time the and (actually) everything I've purchased here has been great and the experts that have helped along the way have been top-notch. I highly recommend the Air Lift 7500XL bags, I had them on a 2008 Silverado 2500HD extended cab, and my current truck, 2008 Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab. I haul a 20' double axel steel livestock trailer and slide-in truck camper. My family shows livestock and the air lift system handles it all great.
Etrailer was excellent in pricing, shipping and product information. Great product once installed. The top bolts from frame to air bag are a SOB to get lined up. If Air lift just put some tabs on the bag and holes in the top support to line things up it would be a few minute project, not the hours spent trying to get the 4 upper bolts in. Love the performance once installed. Very helpful in windy conditions in stabilizing ride. Thanks once again etrailer for being by far the best in all ways.
Definitely a heavy duty and easy kit to install. Like others have recommended, save yourself the aggravation and take the rear rims/tires off. Also, I used 1/4" expandable braided sleeve on the air lines for added protection against the outside elements. Lastly, if you have an after market exhaust you will need to buy bigger stainless hose clamps for the heat shield.
Doesn’t fit a 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD without major fabrication. The brake controller bracket prevents the driver side upper bracket from fitting properly. Is this an issue with the Firestone product? If so I’d like a return and replacement. I am not about to cut off my brake controller bracket. I was really hoping to have these installed for my upcoming camping trip. Very disappointed.
Nice kit. I got this one specifically because of the upper bracket. It prevents flex on the frame channel while under load. Good install instructions with pictures.
I needed to reseat one of the airlines into a connector on the right side. Also, the right side air line was a little difficult to install due to exhaust pipe and a rather tight curve in the air line. The instructions were unbelievably good, you get a full 5 stars for that.
Install was super easy. Also a shoutout to Lauren who helped me with my order. Customer service was top notch!
Easy to install. Follow step by step directions and you’ll have no issues. I found that removing the spare tire was necessary and by doing so it gave me more room to work.

Only complaint is the mounting plates design and size. Live in snow country with lots of salt. The plates will act as a catch all. Otherwise I love them

Everything went well, except installing the bolts in the top of the bags. Lining up bolt holes took time .bags look good
Easy installation, seems to work well
Game changer for towing heavy. I got manual bags. Didn't want the fuss of running wires and managing more automation. Have had installed for 1 year thereabouts.
Super simple. Hook up, air up and go. I keep a little dc compressor so I can just air up right off the truck.
I did my own install. I'm Not even close to a mechanic. Hardest part was removing the old corroded hardware on the trucks.

This product makes the ride on the truck much smoother while towing and carrying a load. It was fairly involved installing it due to my having a lift kit on the vehicle...which required quite a bit of modification. Overall, I am pleased.

Looking up the application for my vehicle was simply, straight forward and parts were delivered promptly. I will continue to use etrailer for future purchases
The product was exactly as advertised but without a lift it was impossible to align the bolt holes so I do not suggest tackling the job without a lift. It has functioned perfectly to this point
Easy install. Works great, other then one side leaks and needs to be refilled quite often if towing for a trip.

Everything looks good and built well, I will send more in a couple weeks when I have time to install them.

The hard portion of the brake line will need to be bent by hand slightly to ensure it indexes between the upper bracket supports. See figure D5 on page 7 in the manual.
