When the rear starts to sag under a trailer or a bed full of cargo, these Firestone Ride-Rite air springs hold the line. With up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity, they mount between the frame and rear suspension to keep everything level and stable. That means better steering control, steadier braking, and even headlight aim when you’re hauling the heavy stuff. The double-convoluted rubber design cushions road shock so the ride stays smooth instead of harsh or bouncy.
Every load is different, and these springs let you dial in air pressure from 5 psi to 100 psi so the suspension always feels right. Inflate both sides evenly when loaded or tweak each bag individually with the separate manual valves to balance off-center loads. With the lines routed to the bumper for easy access, setting up for a tow or returning to daily driving is quick and straightforward.
Each air spring is built with four layers of reinforced rubber wrapped by a braided wire girdle that locks in its double-convoluted shape. Corrosion-resistant metal end plates and a rolled crimp seal keep everything tight under pressure. That construction gives maximum durability and prevents permanent sagging or friction in the leaf springs, even after years of hauling or towing.
The Ride-Rite kit comes ready with custom-fit brackets, air springs, hardware, airline, and separate inflation valves. The brackets bolt to your existing axle and frame mounting points, with drilling only needed on some setups. Once installed, you’ve got dependable support that works with your existing suspension without changing how your truck drives when unloaded.

Super in every way. After installing the first one the second was installed in less than 12 an hour.Mind you rhis was my first do it yourself install. Quality in performance has been very satisfying. It is recomended that 5 of air be a constant when not being needed. An ocassional check of the minimum requirement of 5 pressure keeps the air helpers functioning with no bumpiness.

I agree with Rob B on the frame mounting tabs. Definitely a two person job lining up the tabs with the bolts. Other than that it was an easy install and well worth the money. If you are going to haul a heavy trailer this is by far the way to go!

Installed a set today on my 2013 F-150. Nothing about this product is cheezy. I owned a repair shop for 35 years and was impressed with the quality of this kit. A toggle bolt would not replace the steel plate firestone uses for the bracket mounting inside the frame . All in all, a first class problem solver. Lloyd Church Powell Butte, Oregon

Im still happy with the air bags. I do a lot of towing. From a camper to horse trailers. After hooking up either trailer I just add in the right of air and its a noticeable difference. I did add a T-fitting to add air at the same time to the bags. I own and drive tractor trailers and knew air bags are the way to go with my little 150. The Firestone product has held up and did recommend them who asked about them when they saw them. Also told them where I got them.

A year,? It was somewhat over that. Anyhow the F-150 was replaced with a F-250 and new Firestone air springs were ordered in time for the newer bigger Toy Hauler. Maiden voyage to Ben Avery Phoenix and the Clark County shooting complex Las Vegas went awesome. Always do air springs and always use etrailer.
