5,000-lb Capacity. When the load gets heavy, your truck shouldn't feel like it's fighting you. These air bags help you stay level and in control so you can tow with confidence and handle heavy loads without second-guessing your suspension.
When the load gets heavy, your truck needs more than just rear springs hanging on for dear life. Alpha HD air springs add up to 5,000 lbs of rear axle support, keeping your truck steady even when the trailer is loaded, the bed is packed, and the miles are long. No more rear-end sag throwing off your braking and steering, or headlights pointing into the sky. With air bag support underneath, you keep control of your ride even when you're towing a travel trailer or moving a serious payload.
Every load is different, and this system adjusts to match. Alpha HD air springs let you fine-tune ride height and firmness with air pressure from 5 to 100 psi. When carrying heavy weight, add air to level your suspension and maintain steady handling. Running without a load? Drop to the minimum pressure for a smoother, more compliant ride without stiffness or bounce. Manual inflation valves are included, so tuning your setup for each trip is straightforward and dependable.
Air bags are only as strong as their weakest link. That's why Alpha HD bags are reinforced from end to end with heavy-duty end caps, 20 internal support wires, and powder-coated steel brackets. Add corrosion-resistant hardware and thick roll plates, and you've got gear that holds up to real-world hauling through heat, cold, salt, and slop.
Adding serious load support shouldn't mean losing a whole weekend. The precision laser-cut brackets are designed to bolt cleanly to your truck's existing mounting points with minimal drilling. Just smart engineering that fits the way it should, which is perfect for the DIYer. Manual valves mount through license plate fastener holes or a location of your choosing (which may require drilling). With high-quality fittings, pre-bent brackets, and mounting hardware included, you'll be back on the road in just a few hours without a trip to the fab shop.
This kit is designed to work with your setup today and wherever your upgrades take you tomorrow. You can inflate manually with standard air valves right out of the box, no extra parts needed. Already have an onboard compressor? The Alpha HD system connects easily to most existing setups. Planning for an in-cab wireless controller down the road? No problem. The foundation is already built in, making it easy to expand your control options when you're ready.

Hi, everyone, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking together at our Packbrake Alpha HD Air Bag Suspension Kit. Folks, these are single convoluted rear axle air springs. They're rated at 5,000 pounds of capacity for giving you additional leveling support. So these are custom fit, make sure you're checking our fit guide here at etrailer.com. Be sure you're getting the right parts the first time.
Now, precision brackets, everything here is what you're gonna get from the factory. It's a no drill installation, so it should be pretty straightforward. Now, you're gonna get everything that you see in the image on the screen. I didn't have space here on the table today to lay it all out, so I do apologize, but that's gonna be everything you're getting. I know it looks kinda overwhelming, but again, no drilling.
And once it is installed, it'll looks something like this. And that would be up on the frame of the vehicle, giving you a nice support for your load. Now, these are gonna give you improved ride stability by reducing rear-end swag, sway, and bounce for better handling under load. So if you've ever towed and you start squatting in the back and it's pointing the headlights up in the sky, those kinda things, you don't want that. These will help you push the level back to where it needs to be and get your traction back on the front, get your headlights point in a safe direction, and keep you nice and stable on the road.
So you're not gonna notice bounces and potholes and those kinda things as much once you get the support installed. And these are a manual inflation setup. So again, you're only getting everything in that picture, there's no compressor, there's none of that in-cab gauges, or anything like that. It's all manual inflation at the rear bumper, so follow the instructions that come with it. If you want the in-cab availability, or rather, the availability to inflate these from inside the cab without getting out, you can simply purchase a compressor kit and all that separately here at etrailer.com.
And we can help you out with that, just call, text, chat us, we'll be more than happy to assist you with anything we can help you with as far as getting you what you need. Everything here is a nice powder coat finish on it as far as the metal parts, so you don't have to worry about rust, corrosion, or anything like that either. You can adjust these between 5 to 100 psi. And the biggest question everyone has is, "Well, where do I start" So in the instructions, it should give you about a rough range as where to start. We have some amazing videos here at etrailer.com of our installers installing these and other brands as well. The concept's the same, so you can get some better ideas where to start watching some of those as well. Folks, that's gonna wrap it up. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.

Glad to hear the install wasn't too bad, Dan! Sorry to hear it stiffened up you unloaded ride though. That is one of the only downsides with adding something like this to a Ram truck. They are known for their very nice ride and once you add anything for support when towing, it does inevitably mess with it. What are you towing?
