Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 springs provide full-time, first-class support for your truck. With this kit, you get a safer ride and simultaneously protect your vehicle from the strain that comes with constantly hauling heavy loads.

Carrying heavy cargo in your truck bed or trailer puts tremendous stress on your vehicle. Your brakes erode faster, your tires wear unevenly, and handling suffers severely. When towing, you might also experience excessive sway, bottoming out, and even improper and unsafe headlight aim. Fortunately, there is a solution to these problems. By pairing your existing suspension with the LoadLifter 5000, you can seriously beef up your suspension, ensure equal load distribution, and give your vehicle the support it desperately needs. Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 provides up to 5,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity and distributes the weight of your payload to all four wheels. As a result, the stress on your OEM suspension is significantly reduced.

LoadLifter's air bags are adjustable from 5 to 100 psi for precise support, and they can be inflated independently of one another for front-to-rear and side-to-side leveling. They are made of high-quality, two-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber. Most air bags lose air at the ends, where the bag is enclosed with a steel cap, because the steel can rust and corrode over time, creating small holes. The endcaps on Air Lift air bags are fashioned from corrosion-proof Zytel nylon, a material that is both stronger and lighter than steel, ensuring that the air bags won't lose air. Also, LoadLifter 5000 comes with Air Lift's exclusive roll plates, which both protect your air springs and beef up the load capacity of the springs.

This system installs with the included brackets and hardware. Just mount the springs, inflate them, and ride. To inflate the LoadLifter springs, you just have to pump air in through the inflation valves. A line kit is included with the springs so that you can install the valves (one for each spring) in an easily accessible area - typically they are installed on the bumper. If you want to make the springs even easier to use, you can get a compressor and gauge system (sold separately).

Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.

Along with a lifetime warranty that has no mileage restrictions, Air Lift offers a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Just install and use LoadLifter 5000 springs for 60 days, and if you are not satisfied at the end of this time, you can remove them from your vehicle and return them for a full product refund. Now that's confidence.

Video Transcript for Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs Installation - 2013 Ford F-150

All right today on this 2013 Ford F150 super crew cab we're going to show you part number AL57200, the Air Lift Load Lifter 5000 air helper springs. Now this has a load baring capacity up to 5000 pounds. Whatever you put in your truck that makes it squat, the Load Lifter 5000 will go ahead and bring your truck back up to level. This is what the Air Lift 5000 looks like once installed on the truck. With this part number you get two air bags, one for each side of the axle. It mounts to the axle, basically using large clamps. This does replace the factory jounce stop.

Big difference. Now this kit does come with all the air lines that need to go run towards the back. It also comes with air line fittings built into the air lines. We have one mounted right here on our driver side. Now before we begin our install we'll go ahead and get a couple measurements. With no weight in the truck, we'll measure from the ground to the bottom edge of the wheel well.

It will be about 40 inches. Next we'll go ahead and put a load in the truck, then we'll go ahead and check out the suspension without the air helper springs installed. All right let's go ahead and take our second measurement. Looks like at top of the wheel well down to the ground will be about 37 inches. So it went down a few inches and the truck is sagging in the back a little bit.

So we'll go ahead and take it for a test drive, and watch how the suspension reacts. We'll do our install of the air springs and come back and see if the air takes the truck back up to level. All right let's go ahead and apply the air to it and bring our truck back up to level. Actually our measurement comes out to about 39 and a half inches. We can still add pressure to bring it up but we don't want to add too much because it will make the ride too stiff. All right now let's go ahead and take another trip through our slalom course and our bumps to see how our suspension works this time around.

All right now let's go ahead and show you how the Air Lift 5000 is installed. Now on our install we're going to work with our passenger side first. To give us some extra working room, we'll remove the spare tire. Now one other thing you'll want to do to help you out is go ahead and place a jack or something to raise up the body off the suspension and that will give you additional clearance to install the parts as well. We'll go ahead and also remove the heat shield. Both of these items will be put back into place once we're done. To remove the heat shield, we're going to use a 13 millimeter socket. There's one easy to see, and there's one that's horizontal on the back side of the shield to remove. Next we need to remove the jounce stop. This will be permanently removed. To do that we will use an extension and a 13 millimeter socket to get to the bolt on the inside. To make room for our bolts and the clamps to go on the axle, we need to go ahead and remove this section of the threads, we just need to cut it flush. You use a Sawzall with a metal cutting blade or a grinder with a cutting wheel. Now this plate right here gets installed onto the bottom side of the frame. Basically this plate replaces where our jounce stop was. These two tabs will sit on the outside of the frame and our new bolt will go through this hole here, and as we tighten it down we'll go ahead and make sure we have pressure against these tabs going towards the inside of the truck. We're going to use the button head bolt and a 3/8 flat washer, and into our truck. All right now we'll go ahead and tighten down our button head bolt and a 6 millimeter socket seems to work the best on this fastener. Let's go ahead and do a little assembly work on our air spring. First we need to install an air line fitting that goes right here, got the white Teflon tape on it. Just get it started finger tight until it stops, and probably one and a half turns with a wrench. We'll go ahead and take this plate here and it sits over top. Then this plate will eventually bolt to our upper bracket. Take two bolts that match the bracket here, the fit side, we'll go ahead and install those and tighten them down and then torque them down as suggested by the instructions. We'll tighten these down with seven thirty second Allen tool or bit. Now attach this bracket to the one that's been previously installed into the frame. We'll use a 3 inch short carriage bolt with a flat washer and lock nut. You'll use the same on both sides. Okay let's go ahead and put this into place. Okay we have our harbor loosely installed, we'll go ahead and tighten down the bolts, and then torque them down as best by the instructions. Now I'll go ahead and do some assembly on our bracket that sits on top of the axle. Now there's no left or right side to this bracket so we don't have to worry about that. This little bracket here will fit over these studs and we'll fasten them down with a flat washer and a lock nut. This will use nine sixteenths socket as well. Now we'll go ahead and set this bracket on top of our axle. This curved surface will fit on top of the axle going towards the inside. Okay now we'll go ahead and take our lower bracket will set on top of our axle. We'll make sure that this part will fit in between the u bolts on the springs. I'll just take it and push it into place.Need to go ahead and installs some long bolts that go in all four corners. Now three of them are going to be the same. And now there's going to be one screw shorter than the other, that's going to go on this hole here. There's two of them but you'll use the one closest to the springs. Drop that into place and normal long bolt will go in the same hole but on the backside. Now we'll go ahead and do our easy clamp first. We'll do this side and the outside, this is a clamp, go ahead and put into place, we'll install a flat washer and a lock nut. Your three eighths hardware for this. Now for these two bolts you have a smaller clamp okay and the hardware will vary just a little bit. First off we'll go ahead and put this clamp on the inside here, we'll work it into place, that is a really tight fit. Might have to pull it over a little bit make sure the bolt goes into place. Now a little bit different here is this spacer will go onto our bolt, make sure our bolt goes onto our clamp here. Again this is a rather tight fit. And then we'll install the flat washer, and nut. We'll tighten these down evenly and then torque them down evenly on both sets of bolts. Now we've got to install our second plate. That's just going to slip underneath here, and what's going to happen next is we're going to lower the weight of the truck back onto the suspension to where it just makes contact but we can still move it around as needed. So we'll run two bolts from the bottom up. All right now we'll go ahead and line up our plate on the bottom with the thread of the holes. When put into position we'll install metric bolt with lock washer and flat washer. All right now to make things easier to get this bolt into place, it might be good to take this bracket loose for just a moment. Just use a 10 millimeter socket, let get it out of our way. Then we can reach in a little easier to get access to our bolt. And to tighten down this hardware we're using a nine sixteenths socket. And a swivel ratchet actually comes in handy in this install. Let's go ahead and put this little bracket back into place. Okay now we'll go ahead and put our heat shield into place that will protect our air spring from the exhaust. We'll take a pair of pliers pull it down like that, and then make another bend like this, and do the same thing on the other side. Now we want to put this up on our exhaust we want to find a location where the exhaust is closest to the air spring, we'll go ahead and put this in between it too. We'll go ahead and take the hose clamps, spread them apart, and put them around the exhaust and tighten them back down. This will slide around, loosely put it back together, we'll put one up there and we'll do our other ones the same way. Then we'll go ahead and tighten down the clamp. Five sixties nut driver works best on this. Okay once we have it into place, we'll go ahead and bend it as needed so that it doesn't rattle against anything. Now for passenger side install we'll do the same thing as over on the driver side. By in large the same install, except for a couple little differences. First off the clamps on the bottom are going to be the same on each side and uses all four of the same size bolts. We also used some zip ties on this side to help keep them from rubbing against the air spring. Now we have them both installed we can go ahead work the air lines. Okay let's go ahead and take our air lines coiled up we'll find a halfway point and we'll cut it in half. All right our tube cutter we're using is part number AL10530. Then we'll go ahead and take our cut ends and install it into our air springs. We'll go ahead and start over on the driver side first. We'll take our air line, we'll push it into the air fitting until it stops and it will push past it so it will stop again. Get one first stop and then a second stop. We'll then route this towards the bumper. Then we'll take our extra and just coil it up, it's always good to leave a loop in there in case you have to make some changes to the air line tubing, you'll have some excess to work with. That's our driver side, let's do the same thing on our passenger side. All right now we're going to mount our air line, make it easy accessible into the bumper right here. We're going to draw a five sixteenths hole. Then we'll take our first air line, we'll go ahead and thread on the provided nut. We'll run that basically down towards the back. And then we'll slide on a star washer, run that through our hole. On the outside, a rubber washer, and then a flat washer and nut. We can tighten this down with a deep well half inch socket. Now we're not going to drill a second hole for our air line, for the other side because we're actually going to use a t to help connect two together. So one air valve will control both air bags. And a t does not come with the kit, we're using part number AL21838. And we'll plug them together. Really that's it. Now take a few moments to go ahead and zip tie our air line to make sure they're safe and secure and out of the way. Okay we'll go ahead and put some air in our airbags, and maybe about 50 pounds or so. We'll go ahead and spray it down with some soapy water and look for air leaks by the bubbles. No air bubbles, no leaks, that's what we want. Lastly we'll go ahead and put our heat shield back into place and also our spare tire. Now the air pressure that operates that will be at five to one hundred psi and when it's installed it's always a good idea to keep it a minimum of five or six psi, in the air springs. That will finish it for the air lift Load Lifter 5000 air helper springs part number AL57200 on our 2013 Ford F150 super crew cab. .

Awesome product fairly easy to install. Noticed a big difference when towing vehicle feels great and handling was improved. Vehicle would squat when towing a 25 foot trailer now sits leveled and has a firm ride. 679869

High quality and heavy duty. Good instructions as well. Just got them installed yesterday on my 2009 F-150 crew cab with 6.5' box. I also have the B&W turnover gooseneck ball hitch and my main concern was still being able to mount these. Fit like a charm, no interference at all. I wish I would have purchased them sooner. Sometimes we haul loads that might be just a bit heavy for an F-150, but we are careful. These will certainly help. I have similar air bag type suspensions install on our other two work trucks and I love them. What I did was got myself a 1/4" compression tee and plumbed both air bags into one valve. That way, they air up evenly. It comes with everything to air up each bag separately but I prefer them to be the same. They cost about $6 at any hardware store. I mounted the single air fill valve near the drivers tail light inside the box facing forward. There is an opening where the tail light harness runs up and I followed that with the air valve. I drilled a hole and snaked a tie wire down and through some finagling I managed to get the valve out the hole and mounted. Looks good and is out of the way. Install took me about 5 hours from tools out to tools away, but I was not in a big hurry. I aired them up to 70 psi and drove home looking like a hot rod with the back kicked up. Checked the air pressure this morning and all is well. No leaks as far as I can tell. Highly recommended and a great price as well. 643462

I have had the air bags installed for over a year now. From the boat ramp, camper and dump trailer these things just work GREAT. I will add a set of these to every truck i owe from now on! So nice to be able to level you truck out regardless it being a large or small load. They truly give your truck a safer ride when towing! 526431

Came well packaged, all itsy bitsy parts accounted for. Says no drilling required but you will need a cutting wheel or hacksaw to cut a bolt off. Instructions are pretty good but pictures sometimes don't show exactly what you need to know. My favorite part 2 hrs install. We all know that means at least 4. One more hour and I'll be finished. 426268

Nice product and installation was pretty simple/straight forward. Had a fit issue with left side lower bag bracket sitting to tight to brake line mount on axle for me. Cut ear on mount and moved over .25" and got a good positive clearance. Happy with the product and put over 700 miles on towing the week after installation. 653526

The nice feature of air springs is that you can custom tailor the ride to just about any situation. Carrying a full load?- Add more air for less sag and more stability. Less weight on the vehicle when youre not hauling? - Let some air out of the suspension for a softer, more pliable ride.

  • Air Bag Helper Spring Suspension for 2011 Ford F150 With Custom Fifth Wheel Frame Brackets
According to my Air Lift representative, their LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Spring Kit # AL57200 mounts to the underside of the frame member, and the existing frame brackets for your fifth wheel hitch would not interfere with the installation of the air springs. I've looked at install photos for the hitch mounting brackets and the installation instructions for the # AL57200 spring kit, and I agree with my Air Lift rep that the spring kit will be compatible with your existing fifth wheel hitch...

  • Are Air Bags Compatible with the B&W Gooseneck Hitch on a 2013 Ford F-150
I do have a suspension enhancement solution for your 2013 Ford F-150. Since you have the B&W Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1104 installed i recommend the Air Lift Kit part # AL57200 which is compatible with your gooseneck hitch if you have a 4WD. If you have a 2WD I recommend using SuperSprings SumoSprings. These replace the factory bump stops on your F-150 and offer more stability as your payload (or pin weight) increases. One of the best things about this option is that there is absolutely...

  • Do Air Lift Suspension Kits Affect Unloaded Ride Height on Vehicles
Our air suspension enhancement kits like the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 # AL57200 that you referenced do not affect the ride height of the truck they are installed on when not in use. If you had these bags inflated to their minimum pressure of 5 psi when not towing you wouldn't even know they were there. I attached an install video for the kit you mentioned on a similar Ford F-150 as well.

If your 2013 Ford F-150 is not equipped with a weight distribution/sway control (WD/SC) set-up to help deal with the rear-end sag from your trailer tongue weight (TW) then you might want to investigate this option before considering a rear axle air bag kit. A properly-selected and set-up WD/SC system will not only correct the rear-end sag but also restore your steering and braking performance by shifting some trailer TW forward onto the truck's front axle. Systems with built-in sway prevention...

I see that the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs, part # AL57200 is the kit you purchased for your 2011 F-150. Unfortunately, the that model will not work with the 2015 F-150, and my contact at Air Lift told me that none of the parts are interchangeable. • Air Suspension Recommendations for 2011 Ford F150 4WD SuperCrew Towing 5th Wheel
I'd recommend the Air Lift Load Lifter 5000, part # AL57200, if your fifth wheel frame brackets were manufactured by Reese, Curt, Husky or Valley. Instead of the 2K capacity of the Ride Control helper springs you were looking at, the # AL57200 has a full 5000 lb capacity, which will handle the pin weight of your fifth wheel with no problem, while the 2K capcity of the # AL59568 Ride control springs might not be enough (keep in mind the springs WILL NOT increase the existing capacity of...

  • Can Air Bag Helper Springs be Installed on a 2014 Ford F-150 with a Pullrite 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch
If your 2014 Ford F-150 is a 2-wheel drive model then your best air spring option is Air Lift kit # AL57228 or # AL88228 for air springs with jounce bumpers inside. For 4x4 models the best options are # AL57200 for regular air bags or # AL88200 (for a version with jounce bumpers inside the air bags). The upper brackets on each of the kits above will mount primarily to the bottoms of the frame rails. But there are parts of those brackets that wrap around to the outsides of the frame rails...

For your 2013 Ford F-150 Ecoboost 4x4, we do have suspension enhancement available that will allow your truck to have less sag when towing your gooseneck trailer. It will not give you more towing capacity or more payload capacity, but it will assist your factory suspension to take the brunt of the load and level your truck so your headlights aren't pointed up to the sky when towing. I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # AL57200 which will give you...

  • What Size Air Bag Spacer Do I Need for a 2012 Ford F-150
It can be rather difficult to give an exact answer on the correct lift spacer for air bags to use with a lifted truck as not all lift kits are the same. Therefore, measuring is needed to determine the correct size or you could always buy both and return the one you don't need. The reason for this is that although the manufacturer of the lift kit may state it is a 6" lift, most of the time it does not indeed lift the truck that much. Also, there is a factory rake so the kit could also lift/level...

According to my research, the towing capacity of a 2014 Ford F-150 King Ranch with the 3.5L EcoBoost can vary from 7,500 lbs to 11,300 lbs depending on drive type, axle ratio, and gross combined weight rating. • Is Spacer Needed for 1 inch Body Lift with Air Lift Suspension Kit on 2013 Ford F-150
Sounds like you have a 1 inch body lift on your truck. If this is the case our Air Lift kit part # AL57200 would fit without needing a lift spacer. If you happened to have a suspension lift you most likely would not need a spacer block either. Air Lift actually does not make a spacer block in a 1 inch increment anyway. In general with suspension lifts you have to use a spacer block since the distance between the frame and axle is increased. Since body lifts don't add anything there spacer...

  • How To Reduce Bouncing While Towing With a Weight Distribution System
I do have an option for you but the bouncing feeling you are experiencing is more or less an adverse effect of the weight distribution system. The ride on your 2011 Ford F-150 has become more stiff in the rear as a result of the weight distribution system working to distribute the tongue weight of the trailer. Because the ride has become stiffer, you are going to experience more bouncing. What you can do is take some of the weight off the weight distribution system and place that on...

If your truck is 2WD you can use AirLift kit # AL88228 as long as you don't have the Raptor. If you have 4WD instead use kit # AL57200, again so long as you do not have the Raptor.
