This sleek and sturdy, trunk-mounted rack lets you carry 2 bikes on your sedan, hatchback, or van. It has adjustable arms and anti-sway straps that keep your bikes stable during transport.
Features:
Specs:
Note: This dual-arm rack reduces the need for a bike frame adapter bar (sold separately) to mount a children's, women's, or alternative frame bicycle. However, to mount certain bikes or to keep your bike level on the rack, a bike adapter bar may be required. Most step-through bikes, dual-suspension bikes, and small children's bikes will require a bike adapter bar.
The sleek and sturdy Bones lets you carry 2 bikes on the back of your sedan, hatchback, or van. It has arched dual arms that keep your bikes separated and an adjustable base. 6 Nylon anchor straps let you quickly remove it from your vehicle and store it in your trunk or garage.
The Bones has dual injection-molded plastic arms that provide excellent support for your bikes. The adjustable arms accommodate women's, children's, and alternative frame bikes and keep them level on the rack. The arms are arched to allow your bikes to hang at different heights for optimal ground clearance and to prevent your handlebars and pedals from tangling.
The adjustable arms are mounted on a horizontal tube with grooves that allow the arms or legs to lock in place. To raise or lower an arm simply slide it toward the center of the horizontal tube where it's smooth, rotate arm to desired position, and slide it back along the grooves to the edge of the rack.
You can fold the arms down when the rack is not in use. This lets you free up space to park in your garage without removing the rack from your vehicle.
Rubber, anti-sway cradles with ratcheting straps firmly grip your bike's frame at 3 points, helping to prevent front-to-back sway. This minimizes bike-to-bike and bike-to-car contact during transit.
The rack is easy to set up on your trunk or hatch. First, use the black turn knob at the end of each support leg to loosen them from their positions on the center bar. Then, slide them from their place on the integrated grooves out to the smooth section of the bar. Adjust the legs to a position that will best fit your trunk. Then slide them back over the grooves to hold them in your desired position. Use the black turn knob to tighten them down.
Place the lower padded legs above your bumper and the upper padded leg on your upper trunk or hatch. The rubber pads protect your paint and are slip-resistant to help prevent the rack from shifting during transit.
6 Extra-long nylon straps anchor the rack in place on your trunk or hatch with steel hooks. They are vinyl-coated to prevent scratches and scuffs and are individually labeled to indicate where each hook should be placed for a proper install. Each strap has an easy-to-use ladder-lock buckle to tighten it in place.

Still love the Saris Bones 2, even a year later. It has held up perfectly and probably will for many more years. I highly recommend this product!

I reached out to Saris who advised that the Saris Bones EX part # SAR83FR would be a better fit on your 2018 Toyota Prius with the factory spoiler. It has a greater curved design that allows more room to accommodate the spoiler.

The Saris bones 2 bike rack is working great on my 2018 Honda CRV. It fits snugly to the car with no bumps or rattles. Easy to attach and is light weight.

Yes. It is simpler and easier to use than the roof rack I had been using. However, my grandson’s mountain bike has a curved down tube, leaving a very narrow space between the top tube and the down tube at the steering tube, making it difficult to get onto my Saris carrier.

Thank you for the review! Sounds like you are enjoying the bike rack! It is true that there are no locks for this bike rack. Even though this is the case you can still use something like the Thule Passive Security Strap TH533 which will make it more difficult for someone to get at the rack.

Sorry to hear it isn't working as well as you hoped, James. This is actually a fairly universal rack and can fit a lot of different vehicles. Which vehicle are you installing it on? And what kind of bike are you carrying?

Still holds on to my bike and stays on my car just as well as it did the day I bought it. Would still recommend today.
