Hi I’m looking at purchasing a saris bones 2 for my 2018 Toyota highlander Hybrid. Wondering how the install is going to work. The product guide says it will fit my vehicle but need to replace the side and top straps with hatch huggers. Wondering how to install the side straps with hatch huggers. Hello Rizwan, thanks for reaching out. The Saris Bones 2 # SA805BL will indeed work on your 2018 Toyota Highlander Hybrid, and you are correct that the Hatch Huggers # SA3035 are required. The hatch huggers are easy to install. Basically, you remove the J-hooks from the straps and use the hatch huggers in their place. They will insert between the hatch and the vehicle body. This gives you a firm anchor point on vehicle where the J-hooks could damage the body of the car. We made a video showing how the hatch huggers work, and I have linked it for you below.
