Thank you!! Question: we have the Saris Bones Bike Rack - not the XL model - but haven’t used it yet. I believe that will fit both cars but will I still need the hatch huggers you noted?

From your recent searches on etrailer, it looks like you are looking for a trunk-mounted rack that fits on your 2013 Hyundai Elantra and your 2021 Mazda CX-5.

For a great fit between both vehicles, I recommend the Saris Bones EX 2 Bike Rack - Adjustable Arms - Trunk Mount # SAR83FR. It comes with a 35-pound maximum per-bike weight capacity and is 100% made in the U.S.A.

The Bones EX 2 fits all submodels of Elantra (Coupe, Sedan, GT hatchback) as well as your 2021 Mazda CX-5. You will need Saris Hatch Huggers # SA3035 depending on your following models of Hyundai Elantra:

The Saris Bones 2 # SA805BL does fit both your 2013 Hyundai Elantra and the 2021 Mazda CX-5. As far as the hatch huggers # SA3035, you do need them for your Elantra. The hatch huggers requirements are the exact same for the Bones EX 2. If you need the hatch hugger requirements, here they are again: - Sedan: one set of # SA3035 to replace side hooks - Coupe: one set of # SA3035 to replace side hooks - GT hatchback: two sets of # SA3035 to replace side hooks and top hooks The 8' Cable Lock and Lock Loop for Saris Trunk Mounted Bike Racks # SAR52FR also works with the Bones 2. As far as the bike frame adapter # SA3040, that requirement still applies as well.
