The Patrol bike rack lets you transport 2 bikes in your truck bed. The telescoping aluminum bar fits any size truck, and it adjusts in small increments to fit perfectly on your truck-bed side rails. You can carry bikes with 9-mm quick-release skewers and 15-mm thru-axle forks, lock each bike fork to the rack, and lock the rack to your truck.

Hassle-Free Bike Mounting

This rack includes 2 fork blocks with locking 9-mm quick-release skewers. The fork blocks are compatible with bikes that have 9-mm skewers as well as 15-mm thru-axle forks. They will also accept 20-mm thru-axle forks with an adapter (S64715 - sold separately).

Bikes easily install on the rack. Simply place your bikes' forks onto the fork block skewers, tighten the nuts, and close the cam-action levers. Fork mounts can be repositioned along the telescoping bar to ensure proper bike spacing.

More bikes can be added with additional fork-mount blocks (S64703 - sold separately). The rack will hold a total of 4 road bikes or 3 mountain bikes.

Easy Truck-Bed Installation

Easily install the carrier between your truck-bed side rails. Open the cam lever to release the telescoping arm. Pull the arm out until the end pads rest against your side rails, and then use the micro adjustment knob to ensure a tight fit. You can also use the pre-drilled holes in each end pad to bolt the carrier onto your truck-bed side rails.

Locking Design

To deter theft, lock each bike to the rack with the included quick-release skewers. You can also secure the rack to your truck with the locking macro adjustment cam lever and micro adjustment knob.

The quality of the rack is fantastic. Sadly the keys do not work on the Locking Quick Release Skewers. I've contacted Swagman about this and am waiting for a response.

2017 Toyota Tacoma

Quite pleased with nearly everything regarding this rack. Setup was super easy right out of the box, loved that I didn't need any tools. Bikes feel very secure and I haven't noticed any shifting or movement while driving around. My only complaint is that it's possible for someone to remove (or steal) the locking skewers when there's no bike attached just by unscrewing the endcap. Even if the handle is locked in place, just unscrew the endcap and you can remove the whole locking mechanism. So...works fantastic when there's a bike to be hauled, but makes me uncomfortable when I just park the truck and walk away. Works great, could just be a bit more secure.

by:

rack tends to work itself loose from bed walls during long trips. had to strap down with ratchet straps to keep from moving. locks only work at a specific angle -- wish the manual had said this because we couldn't lock our bikes until figuring it out.

by:

My wife and I have used the rack a number of times over the last year and it works really well. Easy to install and remove each time. Holds our bikes securely even with the tonneau cover trays on the bed sides.

Excellent Customer service and help for this product. Thank you Carol and Neil your the best.

Really well made and super simple to install. I can confirm that it does fit a 2019 Ford Ranger, which is what I have.

  • Will the Swagman Patrol Truck Bed Bike Rack Fit with a 12-mm x 100-mm Thru-Axle Fork?
Hey Aurelio, thanks for reaching out! Thru-axle bike racks can be a bit confusing, but it looks like you can use the 12 mm Thru-Axle Adapter # S64718 with the Swagman Patrol Truck Bed Bike Rack # S64701 you were looking at, to get your bike secured in your truck bed. What kind of truck will you be using? The Patrol is essentially a universal bike rack - I'm just curious what you'll be fitting it on!

  • Options For Carrying Two 70LB E-Bikes on a 2018 Ford F-150
The 35lb weight calculation for the Swagman Patrol 2 Bike Rack # S64701 is based on the weight of the bike connected to the rack. So this will be the weight of the bike minus the front wheels. It is not going to work for your two 70lb E-bikes. Instead you will want to consider either a Tailgate Pad # TH823PRO or hitch mounted bike rack like the Sport Rider # HLY84FR due to the weight of your bikes. If you are hauling a trailer you can consider adding a front mounted Receiver # C31083...

  • Options for Adding Bike Rack Inside Enclosed Cargo Trailer with Track System
Not directly, but I may still have a solution for you. I wasn't able to find an "A-Track" system but if it's anything like the E-Track or X-Track systems then you could potentially use some of the E-Track Wood Beam Socket for Standard 2" Lumber # 59149 as a base and then install a custom-mounted fork mount rack like the Kuat Dirtbag # DRT9P or Swagman Impakt # S62FR. This way you still get a bike rack that mounts to your floor but you can also remove it. Another option would be to use...

  • What Type of Bike Rack to Use on Truck with Tonneau Cover
Because your tonneau cover attaches to the bed rails by grabbing the inside of the bed rail you would want to go with the truck bed bike rack Thule part # TH93VR that attaches to the floor. The Swagman part # S64701 would interfere with the tonneau since it would be putting pressure on the setup. Check out the review video I attached for this rack as well.

  • Difference Between Swagman Truck Bed Racks S64702 and Patrol S64701
The two Swagman bike racks you mentioned are very similar. For the money I would have to recommend the # S64702 since will basically do all the same things as the other rack at a fraction of the price. As long as you have 9 mm axles this would be the way to go. The biggest advantage to the part # S64701 is that it can fit 9mm, 15 mm, and thru-axle bikes so it does offer a bit more flexibility. Since you said you have a lefty bike you would need a different rack than those two. You would...

  • Do I Need An Adapter To Carry My RadRover 6 Plus With A Swagman Patrol 2 Bike Rack for Truck Beds
I spoke with someone from RadRover about your forks axle length and I have one solution and I might have a second solution. My recommendation would be to get the Kuat Dirtbag Phat 9 Fat Bike Rack - Fork Mount - Bolt On - 9 mm Quick-Release Skewer, part # DRT9P. It is designed for fat tire bikes with 9mm quick release skewers. It is a permanent mount, so if you do not want to install it directly to your truck bed, you could probably affix two of them to a 2 X 4. If you are not interested...

  • Why Won't the RockyMounts Truck Bed Track for Fork Mount Bike Racks Fit on 6-1/2 or 8 Foot Beds
I may have a solution, but I checked with my contact over at RockyMounts and when it comes to the # RKY10996 the tie down positions on the longer beds are different; this means the orientation does not work for the 6-1/2 or 8ft to allow you to install the RockyMounts Truck Bed Track for Fork Mount Bike Racks # RKY10996. You will need a 5-1/2 foot bed to use this rack. However, if you have a 6-1/2 of 8 foot bed on your 2016 Ford F-150 you can use the Swagman Patrol 2 Bike Rack for Truck...

I do have a potential solution for you but I reached out to my contact at Swagman and unfortunately he said there's not a good option available that's able to adapt the Pick-Up 2 Bike Carrier # S64702 so that it can accept wider forks like what is on your mountain bikes. Your only option to secure these bikes will be with a different carrier. We do have the Swagman Patrol 2 Bike Rack # S64701 which features a really similar design to your Pick-Up but its included fork blocks are able...

I love it! Well, you're at the right spot. We have it all! If you have the BAK Revolver X4 Hard Roll-Up Tonneau Cover # BAK27ZR on your 2020 Ford F-150 you'll need the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A4000946 as it is the only option that will work with your tonneau cover. • Locking Truck Bed Rack For 12mm Through Axle Bike
We do have a rack that will work with your 12mm thru axle bike but the Thule Bed Rider # TH822XTR isn't the best option for you. I would get the Swagman Patrol 2 # S64701 and then the 12 mm Thru-Axle Adapter # S64718. This set up will lock your bikes keeping them secure. I like these type of racks because you can remove it from the bed whenever you're not using it unlike bolt on racks like the Kuat DirtBag # DRT15. • 2012 Nissan Frontier Truck Bed Bike Rack Recommendation to Fit 12x100 and 12x142 Thru-Axle Bikes
Thanks for reaching out! For your application I recommend checking out the Swagman Patrol 2 Bike Rack for Truck Beds # S64701 and utilizing a 12mm adapter like part # S64718. The Patrol uses a clamping system to secure to your truck bed and is compatible with thru-axle bikes. The adapter is meant for 12x100 axles which will work for both of your bikes but you'll have to find a way to keep your 12x142 axle from sliding back and forth since I'm not seeing any adapters designed specifically...

  • Can 3 Fork Mount Bike Rack Mounts be Attached to a Board and be Stable in a 2008 Chevy Silverado
If the board were secured to the truck bed in some fashion then there should not be a stability problem using # S64700. But that is not really going to be necessary because there are bike racks that are made to be used in a truck bed. For example if your 2008 Chevy Silverado does not have the cargo management rails on the bed sides you could use Topline rack # UG2500-3 for 3 bikes and you would not have to remove any of the bike wheels. Or if you want a fork mount you could use the Swagman...

This rack can support bikes up to 45-lbs, and will work with bikes that have 9-mm x 100-mm quick-release skewers and 12-mm x 100 mm or 15-mm x 110-mm thru-axle forks.
