Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're taking a look at this Rocky Mounts 24-inch Floor Mount VanTrack for fork mount bike racks. Now this is going to let you mount up to three fork mount bike racks on the floor of your van, truck, or SUV. And it also works with Rocky Mount's fork mount bike racks, which are sold separately. Now the parallel mounting channels allow bikes to be staggered or angled to fit in tight spaces, and to avoid handlebar interference. This does include the mounting hardware, the end caps that you see here, and the hardware for two fork blocks. This will support a third bike with an additional fork block mounting hardware that is sold separately.
Now this track is constructed of a durable aluminum with a black powder coat finish that is corrosion resistant, and the maximum weight capacity is 35 pounds per bike. The track dimensions are going to be 24 inches long, by four inches wide, and one inch tall. Now the channel length with these end caps on, are going to be 22 inches long. And this is really a simple installation. All you would do is place this track in the desired location, and then you would mark the holes, and then you would drill mounting holes using a 5/16ths-inch drill bit.
Now for a van interior, these rubber caps may provide sufficient hold, and eliminate the need for drilling. After you drill those holes, you would just remove the end caps, and loosely install the track hardware onto the bike mounts. And then you would just slide the bike mounts into the desired position, and then tighten it with a five millimeter hex wrench. Then you would just slide the caps back on as I'm doing here. And then you would align the track holes, and then install the M8 by 30 Allen bolt with these two M8 washers, and then an M8 nut for each of the mounting holes.
You would tighten the hardware using a six millimeter hex wrench, and then a 13 millimeter box wrench. And again, these included end caps really do give this track a nice, finished look. This does have a limited lifetime warranty, and this VanTrack is not fully compatible with DriveShaft track fork mounts, 'cause it cannot be mounted at an angle. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. Again, my name is Andy.
Thank you for joining me..

Despite the warning, its met my needs exactly. I guess I'm just testing it a little extra for their R&D Dept.
