The axle adapter is just what I needed for my new bicycle to fit on my Rhino-Rack. etrailer shipped the product the same day I ordered which was a Friday. It was in my mailbox by Monday. Excellent service!

I have not yet actually installed this yet, the machining and finish look first class. I chose this product because it looked more stable and had better versatility.

This is a great device and works perfectly on the rack on one of my cars. It does not fit on the other rack because of the "stabilizing" pieces. That is going to be obscure and I find it hard to describe, but I am going to find another one for the rack that this does not work with. I am perfectly happy with this. I just need another one a little differently designed.

The adapter is very thick and durable, the only thing keeping me from giving it a 5 star rating is that the thru axle inserts are thin aluminum and bend in when being tightened with the set screws

Too much rotational movement forward and backward in the existing Thule fork mount. Not sure it’s going to work.

@KatrinaD I have clamped the adaptor into my existing Thule fork mount, but I’m not sure it’s going to work. My new bike arrives within the week, so I can’t test it until then. My review had to do mostly with there being no mention of this issue that might create an unstable mount for a $$ bike. I’ve tried attaching a video…thank you for your response. I do like doing business with etrailer.

@JohnF I did not receive the video attachment; can you please resend it? Please let me know when you get the chance to try it out with the bike. Also, I have gotten in contact with the manufacturer and they have confirmed that this adapter is designed to work in conjunction with one of Rhino Racks through axle carriers, like part # RBC036 or part # RBC035.

Very nicely designed solution to mounting disc forks using existing fork mounts that are quick release. Looks like it will last for years- very sturdy and nice welds. Nice that it can be adapted to different thru axle standards. I made a wise choice here- Thanks

    The Thru Axle Bike Carrier for Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platforms # RR43233 you have is a fork mount bike carrier so I am not quite sure what you're asking. This bike rack contains a 15-mm x 100-mm thru axle adapter sleeve, however if you needed a different size you could use the Rhino-Rack Multi Axle Adapter for Fork Mount Bike Racks # RRRBCA030 which includes adapters for 12-mm, 15-mm, or 20-mm thru axles.

    I have a few options for you, but the Thule Velo Vise 589 you have can only be installed onto factory aero crossbars by using the Thule Ride On Adapter 532 which has been discontinued for quite a few years now. If you can find two of the then you can install them onto the crossbars on your 2018 Audi Q3, then install the bike rack on those.
