Easy-Pull Ring Handle Is Easy to Grip and Pull

Easy Pull

Standard 4-way flat plugs have a small surface area to grip when you are pulling them apart, forcing you to wriggle the plugs back and forth to loosen them. Some users even pull on the wires. This can lead to broken terminals or ripped wiring. With the Easy-Pull harness, the plug has a large grip ring designed to make disconnecting a snap. Simply slide your finger into the ring and pull the plug away from the opposite plug to disconnect.

Easy Pull Rings

The Easy-Pull is also available as a vehicle-end 4-way flat plug. Combine the Easy-Pull trailer-end plug and vehicle-end plug for the easiest possible disconnection. With ring handles on both connectors, disconnecting is as simple as gripping the rings and pulling straight apart. No wriggling, no broken terminals, and no damaged wires.

So much easier to use with the large pull handle. Great for use when your Trucks harness is in a tough to reach place

Still a great harness. Very durable
Michael - 05/30/2022

Heavy duty. Finger hole make it more likely it will not get pulled out by the cable. Works good on our smaller trailers.

Nice quality, great solid jacket around the wires. Makes unplugging very easy!!!

Great design and rugged materials.

The wiring was just what I needed and the shipping was quick. I will definitely be using etrailer more in the future.

This connector is much more robust than standard flat pigtails. I particularly like the sheathed cable rather than the exposed flat four-wire.

Working perfectly. The hole pull works far better than yanking on the wire leads when disconnecting
Kenneth - 09/24/2021

very heavy duty trailer pigtail cable. This is what I need to prevent kinks and breaks in the wiring harness. Nothing like hooking up trailer lights that dont work because the wiring is easily damaged.

Great Company Quality Product Fast Shipping will do business with them again

Nice solid, molded grab handle. I’m switching all my 4 wire trailers over to these harness. Well made

Have not had one issue in the year since I installed them. A+. Worth the extra cost
Ray C - 07/16/2021

as expected. I put one of these on my last boat trailer and will install on any trailer I own from now on. Very durable, easy to plug in/unplug.

This is a great product, solid and great quality. Three things that would help the consumer. First thing would be to add solder-less connectors. Next thing would be to have about 6-8” of exposed wire to work with when coupling. And last thing would be to furnish a dust cover for the plug end.

I couldn’t be any more happy. It has held up to many fishing trips on my boat trailer, great!
Ted - 09/14/2020

Solidly made, and easy to use the the ring handle.

This is made from good materials and should last me many years of service on my utility trailer. The life-span will depend on how much winter trailering I do as the road salt used up here in Ontario, gets into everything.

Love the finger loop. Next time I need to replace my trailer light plug this will be my choice.

Excellently. Love the ring!
Kenneth - 09/06/2019

Well made unit that makes it easier to connect and remove from tow vehicle. Lead is 48" long but would be better if a little longer, maybe 60 or 72" to facilitate connection to tow vehicles with extended hitches or trailers with long tongues. Would be fantastic if the monitor/test lights were included on connector.

I have purchased these ones before, for our fleet of trailers. Great quality cable and easy to plug in/out of vehicle. I stock a couple of these for repairs.

Exactly what I wanted. Excellent quality. Couldn’t find it anywhere. Etrailer had it !

Great product! Makes installing and removal easy and you have less of an opportunity of damaging the prongs when removing (as compared to the traditional 4 flat plug). As with any product it is not indestructible but far better than the latter.

Finger pull feels good and will make it much easier to plug and unplug. The jacketed wire is a bonus to keep everything tidy.

A real upgrade to typical 4 wire trailer connectors. If you are doing any trailer wiring I strongly recommend this replacement.

Well made with an integrated cover like a outdoor extension cable the ring makes it easy to hold when inserting or removing the connection from your vehicle.

It would be perfect if it came with the very fine cover that Hopkins includes with most other variations of the "ring" style connector.

Just as advertised, quick service and s hipping

Great product. Easy to install and top quality.

Absolutely love this product!
Mark R - 06/15/2021

Excellent product. It has held up well over the last year of use.

Solid construction and a long enough lead to easily connect and reach the trailer hookup.

The pigtail was an easy install. The jack tube caster is perfect for moving the trailer easily. Shipping was fast. Great company.

The white (ground) is a 16 gauge wire. Typically 18 or 16 gauge wire is sufficient to run trailer lights, especially when you use LEDs since they draw much less power than incandescent bulbs. • Trouble With Trailer Lights Flashing Off and On When 4-Way Connected
It sounds like the problem is in the wiring on the 4-flat connection of the trailer. I recommend the Hopkins Endurance Easy-Pull Harness # HM38134 to replace the 4-way plug on your trailer. I'm guessing that there many be a connection issue at the 4-way or the ground wire inside the harness broke and this is what is causing your lights to flash. That is the last point and explains why your lights all work when you ran a dedicated ground wire to the battery. You can confirm that it is...

The wires on your trailer sound abnormal for a typical trailer. I recommend either tracing each wire to determine what function it serves or using a battery to power the wiring. It sounds like the new 4-way trailer connector uses standard trailer wire coloring, like part # HM38134: green for right turn and brake, yellow for right turn and brake, brown for running light, and the white wire gets grounded to the trailer frame. That's the easy part. The hard part is finding what the trailer's colors are. Unfortunately, there's no definite way to do this other than getting a 12 volt battery, grounding the ground wire (probably the white) to the battery's negative...

The only 4-flat to 6-square connector we carry is part # 30104. This sounds like what you're looking for but I'm not sure exactly if this is the same connector on your trailer. If you can send me a picture I can try to verify that. If this doesn't work you can add a 4-way to the trailer instead of using an adapter. You don't have to cut off the existing 6-way but instead splice into the existing wires and connect a 4-way in addition to the 6-way. Part # HM38134 will work.
