by:

Haven't used this yet but it looks to be a quality product. Customer service was excellent!

by:

Very Handy ProductGreat product. Very handy to have so many adapters in one piece. Can't beat the price either!

by:

On the spot service and always great products. Love the tracking you can have a little fun seeing the route and location of shipment.
Not the lowest price, I shop on service and dependability and that costs for the company.

by:

Perfect product!!! Perfect customer service fast shipping.... Thank you etrailer :)

by:

The fit and construction quality of this adapter are excellent, it really looks like it will hold up for many years. Also, the price was good and it shipped when they said it would. I will definitely buy from etrailer.com again.

by:

The product works well. It is a little loose in the fitting, but it has not fallen off yet, so I think it will be fine.

by:

Product does exactly what I needed it for. Etrailer is great, couldn't believe how quick my orders arrived.

by:

I'm a first time buyer with E-trailer. Great products, Great prices, Great service, and unbelievably fast shipping (one day). You can't get all this at a store. I contacted their customer service about placing a second order and never talked to more helpful and courteous people.
These are the kind of people to do business with anytime.

by:

Plugs right in and Boom! You got it. What a great adaptor. Three trailers with three different plugs....one adaptor.

by:

The Adapter fits snugly/firmly in place and works well with my trailer. I haven't used it on any other trailer connector yet, but I'm confident it will work correctly. I look forward to using it on the road soon.

by:

The product waorks as it should. I would like to thank etrailers for prompt handling and shipping. You would think the Reno/Sparks area would be big enough to at least have somebody, or a few stores, that would carry just what is needed. It seems however that they prefer to only stock certain items and if they do not have what you want they will try to offer you solutions to use what they have. thanks again to all the people involved.
John

by:

Great Adaptor! Works well on my 4, and 5 pin flat connectors. Also great for my 6pin round. Great idea to be able to buy just 1 adaptor to handle any trailer wiring you could encounter.

by:

Nice crafted item. Shipping was lightening fast. Very handy item to have on hand for when you are hooking up a trailer set up differently from yours. The only suggestion I have is that there isn't a version to handle the 5 pole round connectors, which are still fairly commonly sold for utility trailers w/ brakes (the 5 pin flat style are hard to find locally I've found)

by:

Being a former boat dealer, now a fisherman, and a rancher, I back-up to, and, tow a lot of different stuff. This lets me make sure my hook-up is "legal" with lights!! The ball mount works great with my NEW tow vehicle!! The vehicle is a 3/4 ton, and, comes with a 21/2" to 2" adapter for the factory receiver. The locks & the rest are just niceties in this "steal whatever you need" society?!!

by:

The product was fine but I ended up not needing it so I returned the item only to pay $[XX] in UPS ground shipping costs on a $[XX] item. Seems excessive to me. I should have just kept the item. I was told etrailer doesn't do USPS labels. Would have been much cheaper.

This works great with our 7 prong round outlet on our Sprinter Van. We needed a 4-way with our bike rack light (Beacon). Easy peasy. Worked without a glitch. Seems to be very high quality with a secure connection.

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring with Intermittent Connection of Chevy Colorado
Hey Paul, it sounds like it's not the usual spots which are the pins in the trailer wiring connectors so it's got to be on the wiring that is on the trailer or the truck. I would assume the trailer side since that's more exposed and typically more prone to issues. So you'd need to trace it back from the connectors to see if you can find a loose connection.

The problem that you are experiencing is likely happening because there are 2 different ways to wire a 6-Way trailer connector. Which ever one that it is, the other one would be the 12 volt circuit. Normally when this happens the trailer brakes will immediately lock up.
