Question:

Still with a dilemma because I share the boat with the round connector with another person who has the round receiver. Thanks for the tips. We will talk over and decide what to do.

I do have a solution for you but unfortunately there are no adapters for a round 4-Way connector on your trailer to the Curt T-Connector # C56291 on your 2016 Honda Pilot.

Instead what you will need to do is swap out the 4-Way round connector on your trailer for a 4-Way flat connector. I recommend cutting the connector off and splicing the Hopkins Endurance Easy-Pull Harness # HM38134 on your trailer wiring so that you get a connector on your trailer that is compatible with your vehicle. This wiring harness features the easy-pull connector that helps make disconnecting your trailer wiring much easier than if you had a typical 4-Way flat connector like part # HM48110. The current pricing on this unit can be found on the product page.

Thank you for the follow up! If your friend still has a 4-Way round connector on their tow vehicle then a possible solution is to change out the 4-Way on your trailer (as I mentioned above) and then use the Connector Adapter # ADP001 so that the trailer will be able to connect to their wiring. Another possible option would be to change out their wiring system with one like the T-Connector but since the adapter is available that would be a much easier (and cost-effective) route to go.
