Question:
Hi. I’m thinking about upgrading my current ST 205/75 R14 tires and wheels to the Provider ST205/75R15 steel wheel MX37FR I currently carry a spare in my original size. The dumb question is, how dumb am I to keep the original spare tire and only use it in emergencies. It is about 2” diameter smaller overall. I’m just trying to save some $ and not buy another wheel and tire I will probably never use. I have never used the current spare. Or what is the cheapest wheel and tire combo you have that would be the correct size spare for the newer wheels/tires? Doesnt have to match the new wheels, just need an emergency spare. Thanks

If you were in an emergency situation and your trailer had the ST205/75R15 installed like the # MX37FR that you referenced and you only had the tire size of ST205/75R14 I wouldn't blame you at all if you decided to run it to get home...now that said, would I recommend you set yourself up for that situation? No. I would not, it is important that you run the same size all around and I would say your most ideal situation would be to have a spare that is the correct size like our most economically priced # AM32238B.
