A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. When properly installed, this type of light can function as both a front clearance light and a side marker light or as a rear clearance light and side maker light.
Recessed-mount trailer lights install with a grommet, which is often sold separately. These lights extend past the trailer surface and require a hole for installation. If replacing a light, you can utilize the pre-existing hole. If installing a new light, you will need to cut a hole or use a mounting bracket (sold separately) to complete the installation.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Peterson LumenX LED clearance and side marker. And it's a submersible round shape and an amber lens. So folks, this LED trailer light can function as a clearance and side marker depending on how you mount it. As you can see, it's got 3 mounting holes.
Those are 2 5/8 inches on center evenly apart. And it has a nice polycarbonate lens. Everything has been sealed, so it's waterproof, and it does not include a pigtail, that's sold separately, item number PET42PV. And I've got that here that I pulled just to kind of show you this light lid up and show you what this pigtail looks like. As you can see, it's got a waterproof grommet.
You simply push it in place, it's gonna match up, and then when we light it up, we're gonna be able to see our nice, bright, vibrant amber. Now, this does meet all 108 FMVSS requirements for automotive lighting. And as you can see, it is super bright and vibrant. The nice amber color is gonna make you visible on the road at night and also in the daytime as well. So again, folks, this pigtail, part number PET42PV, again, is sold separately, it does not include it.
Like I said, I just wanted to pull that so you can see what it looks like as far as the light and everything installed. And again, it has a nice waterproof grommet there to keep everything nice and dry on the inside here. Well, folks, I think that's gonna wrap it up. Overall, dimension wise, I got 2 5/16 by about 1 1/2 inches deep. That's gonna do it for our look at the Peterson LumenX LED clearance and side marker.
