Video Transcript for Review of Weigh Safe Dual Pin Assembly Lock Padlock Coupler Latch Lock Hitch Lock - WS43ZR

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe Lock Set. Now, as you can see here on my table before me, we do have several locks, it's gonna be included in this set. First is this dual pin locking assembly. This is going to fit your 180 hitch or Weigh Safe two ball mount. The locking pins, as you probably know, are going to secure the ball mount platform to the shank for added security.

These pins and the housing are constructed of durable aluminum and the lock is plated steel. So this is gonna hold up really well against the elements and you're not gonna have to worry about corrosion or anything like that. So very easy operation with the keys that are included. And then this does include this dust cover here to protect that lock, protect the keyway. And then moving on, I wanted to show you the padlock that's also included with this kit.

And this is gonna be great for locking up your gear, your trailer doors, other items where this lock is going to fit. This is constructed of hardened steel, has a chrome finish, and again, this is going to operate just like your traditional padlock. You don't need the key inserted to lock this back up. So this is going to hold up very well for you. And in case you we inchesre wondering about the measurements, on your screen, I am providing a diagram there for you, showing you all of the dimensions that are going to be beneficial for you to determine if this is going to work for your particular application.

If you need to refer back to that diagram, you can just pause this video and take a look. But I thought the diagram would be of a great benefit for you instead of just trying to show all the dimensions with the ruler here on the table. Now taking a look next, we have this coupler latch lock and this is going to work with your trigger latch style or your lever latch style and your sleeve lock ball couplers. And this coupler is, this coupler lock is going to secure the trigger latch on your trailer's coupler to deter theft. Your trailer can't be removed from your tow vehicle when locked onto the ball and the would-be thieves can't secure your unhitched trailer to their tow vehicle with the coupler lock with the coupler locked with this either.

So very easy to use. The diameter of this pin is a quarter of an inch, so you're gonna be able to easily adjust it when you run this through that trigger latch. Of course you want to make it as tight as possible to prevent anybody trying to use bolt cutters or something like that to cut that lock off. As you can see, this also has a rubber cap. It's tethered to cover up that key slot to prevent dust, debris, moisture, corrosion, things like that. It's a sturdy stainless steel construction, so it's made of quality materials that's gonna hold up real well for you. The overall length is about 4-1/2" long from end to end. And then finally, let's take a look at this hitch lock. This is going to fit most of your 2" 2-1/2" and 3" receivers with a pinhole diameter of 5/8". It's gonna let you lock your ball mount or hitch accessory into your receiver. Again, this has a dust cap and it's gonna be very easy to unlock and lock. What I do like about this, I returned the head to the locking position. Remove the key. You don't need the key in the head to lock this back up, which I like. You just press firmly and then it's locked and you'll be good to go. The overall length of this lock from end to end is about 5-7/8". And the inside pin length or span inside to inside is about 3-7/16". Again, this is made of a sturdy stainless steel construction. So all of these are built very well. I think they're gonna hold up really well for you. You're going to get 2, 4, 6, 8 keys and all of these keys are going to work with these locks. So this has all been keyed to like, so one key will operate everything here. You're not going to need a different set of keys for each of the locks, which is great. So this is going to be a great set if you are looking to really maximize your theft deterrence. And again, Weigh Safe really does, in my opinion, build some quality locks with quality materials.
