Wet roads or boat ramps are no problem for this light. Its housing and amber lens are sonically sealed into a single, waterproof unit that’s fully submersible. That seal keeps water out so the light stays bright and dependable trip after trip. It’s built to handle tough use without moisture getting inside or corroding the bulb and connections.
This round 2-15/16" light spreads its beam 90 degrees to each side for a total of 180 degrees of visibility. When mounted properly, that wide coverage means it works both as a clearance and a side marker light. Other drivers will see it clearly from the front or from the side, helping improve safety at night or in low-light conditions.
Swapping out an old light is simple thanks to its built-in surface-mount flange and standard 2-prong plug connection. It fits using two mounting holes spaced 2-1/4" apart, so you can bolt it right on without drilling new holes. Just plug it in with an A46PB or A86PB harness (sold separately) and you’re ready to go.
Powered by a single incandescent bulb drawing only 0.2 amps at 12.8V, this light gives off a clean amber glow that’s easy to see day or night. The bulb can be replaced in seconds if it ever burns out, keeping maintenance quick and inexpensive while maintaining that warm, traditional look.
The polycarbonate housing and lens stand up to impacts, vibration, and road debris. They protect the internals from wear while staying clear and bright over time. Backed by a 3-year warranty, it’s a tough little light ready for whatever your trailer sees on the road or at the ramp.

Today we're going to be taking a look at part #MC54AB, this Optroncis Seal 2 inch round side marker and clearance light. This is pwowder coat rated so it is going to combine your clearance and side marker functions when mounted at a 45 degree angle because it produces 90 degree angle of light, left and right when mounted at that angle. It's going to contain 1 incandescent bulb. It's going to feature a nice sealed, water proof housing and lens. It's going to come with the flange that already installed on there. Again, this is completely sealed. It does have a nice tight water proof design.
The flange is going to contain three mounting holes. Those mounting holes are going to be separated, center on center by 2 and 1/4 of an inch. It's going to be the same distance between each set of holes. Your mounting hardware is not included. Here on the back side you can see the plug. This is going to accept the industry standard two prong plug.
That items wouldn't be sold separately. If you don't already have one you can find one here on our website. The overall diameter here at the base, that's going to give us a measurement of 2 15/16 of an inch. Then the depth from the front of the lens to the back of the housing, that's going to give us a measurement of 1 3/8 of an inch. This is Department of transportation compliant.
We're going to go and hook it up to our external power source. That way you can see what it look like with power running to it. I have a two prong plug today that I'm simply going to plug into the ports on the backside. Place it in there, give a good push so it seats correctly and creates a nice tight seal. You can see here that the light is seems at a really nice, strong consistent signal. It's a pretty bright light.
It's going to contain 1 incandescent bulb. Its DOT approved and again it's going to feature that nice sealed waterproof design. That's going to do it for today's review of part # MC54AB. This is the Seal 2 inch round side marker and clearance light from Optroncis. .

A year after purchasing these, I continue to be very pleased with these lights. I actually replaced all 20 of the marker lights and the big tail lights with these LED lights from e-trailer. I have had only one marker light lose its ground connection, which I remedied by replacing the sheet metal mounting screw with a slightly large screw. As noted above, this is not a problem with the LED lights, but rather, with the vintage trailers system of grounding through the sheet metal skin of the trailer, rather than providing a positive and negative wire lead to each light. People often stop us at camp grounds to ask questions about our old shasta, and one person even marveled that the lights were still working after 50 years. A good testament to how natural they look.
