When you need to be seen through dust, rain, or dark conditions, this light stands out. The 4-1/4" round Piranha LED uses 36 diodes that throw out a bright, amber signal so others can easily spot your vehicle. The high-output LEDs are energy efficient, long-lasting, and vibration resistant, which means they hold up even when the job site gets rough.
This light isn’t just bright—it’s smart. It combines a rear turn signal with a 3-flash strobe pattern that alerts others to your presence. That’s ideal for service vehicles or anyone who needs extra visibility on the road. With its alternating and synchronized functions, it can work together with other Type 1 or Type 2 lights to create clear, attention-grabbing patterns.
The Piranha Series is known for its modern design and vibrant output, but it’s also built to last. The amber lens covers amber LEDs in a sealed housing that resists vibration and wear. It runs on standard 12V DC systems and carries a limited lifetime warranty for peace of mind on long-term use.
You get a professional look and extra protection thanks to the recessed mount design. At 4-1/4" in diameter and 1-3/8" thick, it sits neatly against the surface using the included flange. It accepts a 3-wire weathertight plug for power (sold separately), and if you want to sync functions between lights, it can take an additional 1-wire plug (sold separately). This setup keeps wiring neat and connections protected from the elements.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Peterson Piranha LED strobe and turn signal light. It's a 4 1/4 inch diameter light, and it is a type two. So I wanna start off with giving you the dimensions. So again, Peterson's calling this a 4 1/4 inch diameter.
That is technically correct outside to outside of the actual lens housing. I got that 4 1/4 inch. So as you can see all the way over here to the outside of the housing, while the very top tip of the light surface is that four inch. So don't get confused on anything like that. And then overall, outside of bracket to outside of bracket, 5 1/2 inches.
Now, you have three holes here for mounting it, and center to center on those, I got about 4 1/4 inches. So again, double check all your measurements and make sure this is gonna pop into your replacement or as a replacement. Now, another thing to note, it does not include the pigtails. Those are sold separately if you need them. It accepts both a three wire and a one wire, sold separately.
Now, this is a strobe light with rear turn signal function, so you can alert pedestrians, other drivers of your presence. Maybe you got a tow truck, semi, snowplow, a box truck possibly. This is gonna be a great option. It's got a three-flash strobe pattern. Let's go ahead and pop a video of that up real quick to show you.
Now, it does give you a synchronized function, meaning you can put two two type lights, or two type two lights rather, can be wired together to display the same pattern, or giving you an alternate function, allowing a type one and type two light to be wired together if you wanna do that. So you have versatility here. High-output LEDs, they're energy-efficient, they're long-lasting, and they are vibration-resistant. And as you can see, 36 diodes, amber in color, with an amber lens covering that. Once again, folks, I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
