Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Peterson LED stop, tail and turn trailer light with the red lens. Now as you can see, this is a rectangular LED trailer light, provides the stop, tail and turn functions on your trailer. And I do have this hooked up to some 12-volt power just to show how bright the light is and how it operates. So basically, I'm gonna go ahead and turn on our 12-volt power. And now you can see the tail lights will come on.
I'll go ahead and turn off the overheads. There, you can see the tail light function. Now when you do hit the brakes, you'll be able to see the brakes. They light up brighter. Let people know you're applying your brakes.
And then when you go to make your turn, your turn signal, it'll be just the same way. So it's gonna give you the stop, tail and the turn signal functions. Go ahead and turn back on overhead lights, turn off our power. Now this does use an industry standard AMP receptacle that's integrated into the rear housing. You can see I have the plug in there just to show you if you pull this off and the plug comes right out.
And there's the AMP housing or integrated connector and there's what the plug would look like. It just plugs in simple like that. Now this is a red lens over 12 red LEDs. And the LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They'll last 50 times longer, they're more efficient, provide a brighter light with less power output.
And of course, there's no bulbs to replace, no brittle fitments that are gonna break. And they do have a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. And this slide is also great for marine use because it is a sealed lens and housing which meets the IP67 rating. If you notice, it is a recessed mount design, has the black flange on it with the holes in it for mounting it. Now the hardware to install, this is not included. You would have to supply that. This part is made in the USA. A few specs on this, the operating range is 9 volts to 32 volts. And last thing is just to give you dimensions, and it has the black flange that goes all the way around. So I am gonna measure the width of it from the flange end to the flange end. And if we do that, you can see it's gonna be right at 1 1/8 inches wide. Same way, height, 4 3/16 inches tall. And the thickness, including that housing that sticks out, about 1 1/2 inches thick. But that should do it for the review on this Peterson LED stop, tail and turn trailer light with the red lens.
They look like they will do the trick. Wish they would have come with the simple wiring.
Good light, not what I needed and was very easy to return.
great products and lightning fast shipp ing
The product probably was correct and looks like it was quality made
The problem is, it has a 3 prong electrical connector, which I didn't have
on my (old light), so I need to talk to you Monday to have you verify which
additional connector product will match up to it. This will be following my
up on making sure it will fit on my trailer first, which I think it will?
I do have a problem with getting a couple of parts at $2 to $3 each and paying the additional around $10 shipping. If I knew I need them, I could have got them with the original order, wasn't told about that connector?
