Dark corners make it tough to load or find gear. This Peterson Great White LED cove light throws out a clean 300 lumens of bright white light that fills your trailer’s interior evenly. The custom-cut optics and ultra-bright diodes are designed to maximize light output, giving you clear visibility without shadows. It’s the perfect upgrade from dim or uneven incandescent lighting.
Trailers see plenty of dust, moisture, and vibration, but this light is built to handle it. The molded sealing resists dust, moisture, and vapor intrusion, earning an IP67 rating for complete protection during use. Whether you’re hauling in humid weather or storing gear in off-season dampness, the sealed housing keeps the LEDs safe and working reliably.
Old bulbs burn out and filaments break, but LEDs solve that problem for good. These Great White LEDs last up to 50 times longer than incandescent lights while drawing much less power. That means a brighter light that saves energy, puts less demand on your electrical system, and never needs bulb replacements—just consistent illumination every time you flip the switch.
Lighting up your workspace shouldn’t require a rebuild. This 7-11/16" long by 1-1/16" wide oval strip mounts easily with surface screws on either a wall or ceiling—vertically or horizontally. The 2-wire design makes it straightforward to hook up: one ground wire and one power lead. Mounting hardware isn’t included, but installation stays clean and easy wherever you need bright, reliable light.

Ellen: Hey, everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at the Peterson Great White LED Trailer Light. This is going to give you a nice, bright light in a relatively small package. It's also nice that it is completely sealed, so it's going to be waterproof and dustproof. So even if you did want to mount this outside your trailer or in an area that might be exposed to any kind of dirt and debris, you shouldn't have any worries about anything getting in there and causing any issues. So I'm going to take a closer look at this and we're going to hook it up to power and ground to see how bright it really is.
So you've just got the two wires to connect. White goes to ground, and then our black wire will go to power. So I get my wires go in here. Turn on my power source. You can see how bright that light is. Turn out my studio lights to get a better idea.
So it really does give you a nice bright light for how small this little housing is. So I really like that. It gives a nice clean white light. It works with 12 volt and 24 volt DC systems. And of course, LEDs are always a good idea to use instead of any kind of incandescent bulbs.
They just last longer, burn a little brighter, and typically take less power than a comparable incandescent setup. So, it's just a good idea to switch them out to LEDs when you can. Now this does not come with any mounting hardware. So that is something you will have to pick up on your own. A couple of screws at either end will probably do the trick for this. It's pretty lightweight, so it really shouldn't take too much.
Total length is about seven and three quarter inches long from the inset of these little spots here. It's about seven and a quarter inch of space. The actual light portion that's exposed is about five and a quarter inch long. Total width, just over an inch. And the height is about three quarters of an inch. The lead that you get for the wiring is about six inches long. We do have a total of one, two, three, four diodes. The output is 300 lumens. Again, it's IP 67 rated so dustproof pretty much waterproof as well. It is covered by a 10 year limited warranty and it is made in the USA. That's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the Peterson Great White LED Trailer Light. I hope that this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right one for you. We do have a lot of lighting accessories here at etrailer.com, all kinds of stuff, as well as wiring and other trailer accessories and parts. So if you need anything else, definitely check us out. While building out my enclosed trailer to a track-day trailer, I retained the nice aluminum corner trim between the walls and ceiling of the trailer. The flush mount 358 series lights from Peterson worked perfectly on the 45 degree trim.
