What Wiring Do I Need?

The Lights Came 2 Working Day's Early. Etrailer.com Was The Only Place We Could Find These Discontinued Lights. Thanks Again For The Quick Service.

PERFECT!!! The light was exactly what the picture shows and the dims were spot on. The light is all solid and the flange mount it very sturdy. We installed these on our MCI MC9/12 buses and have had no complaints. The wired right in to the current system with no issues. We will continue to purchase more of these in the future.

The LED lights STL43ABX you bought for your MCI bus are 12 volt. How did you connect them to your 24 volt MCI system?

Oftentimes, the circuits for the exterior lights are regulated down to a 12v circuit to make them compatiblie with the majority of lights on the market. You can always use a volt meter and test the wiring on one of your lights to see if it is a 12v or 24v circuit. If need be, there are some Optronics LED lights that are designed to function on circuits that range from 9-30v.

The lights are good but them not coming with the wiring is unbelievable. Why sell lights without a way to hook them up.

Natthan,Thank you for your review. You will need an industry standard 3 prong pigtail to wire this light. Part STL43ABX will work for you.

I received the lamps in excellent condition.I thought the young lady that took my order was excellent.I'll do business with them again.I put etrailer down as a favorite.I also look forward in doing business with them in the future because they treated me with respect on the phone. The price was good also.

by:

Delivery was very prompt. Item was an exact match for our somewhat ancient school bus’s tail light, which three different auto parts stores could not even find. Price was very reasonable.

by:

Spent over 8 hours looking for these same exact lights before I put my bus on the road for inauguration. Went to dozens of bus dealers, and part vendors, but i couldn't even find similar. Even called the manufacture, but they advised since i wasn't a distributor, they couldn't sell to me directly, neither did any of there distributors have it. Make a long story short, etrailer saved my butt!

by:

package arrived safe and sound. the item was securely packed inside the box, as well, with bubble wrap. exactly the correct part. we will order from your site again for future needs.
thank you

by:

easy ordering and the product was ship and delivered very fast. will use again with great pride

  • Does Replacing Turn Signal on Motorhome with LEDs Require Installing Load Resistors
When replacing an incandescent turn signal circuit bulb on a vehicle with an LED you would need to install load resistors or you can go with the easier solution of replacing the thermal flasher unit that controls the blinkers with a digital one. I did this on a vehicle years ago and it's much easier than trying to find the correct load resistor. We do not carry digital flasher units though so you would need to source that elsewhere.

  • Converting Separate Turn Signals and Brake Lights to Combined Turn and Brake Lights on a Trailer
If the trailer is one that is pulled by a motorcycle or a trailer designed to carry a motorcycle, you will need a converter in order to convert the wiring system used by the 6-Way to a 2 wire system used by trailer lights. The converter you can use is # RM-732. This takes the separate turn and brake signals and makes them a combined circuit. When you hit the brakes with the turn signal on, it should blink on one side and the other side will remain a solid brake light. The converter will...

  • Replacement Tail Light Options for a Fleetwood Southwind 32VS
I do have some possible replacement tail light options for your Fleetwood Southwind 32VS such as the LED Trailer Tail Light part # STL413RFHXB which has a 4" diameter and mounts of a three bolt pattern. We also offer this same light with an amber lens, the LED Trailer Turn and Parking Light part # STL43ABX. If you don't think these will fit you can search our selection of 4" round lights which I have attached for you below.

  • 4 inch Diameter Round Pedestal Mounted Trailer Light Availability
The closest thing we have to what you need is the part # STL52ARB. This is a pedestal mounted round LED light that measures 4-1/4 inches in diameter. It has a red and amber side on it so hopefully it would work for your application. I attached a review video for you to check out as well.

  • Replacement Clearance Light and Turn Signal for 4-1/4 Diameter Light
I may have a solution for you, but we don't have that exact light or one similar that is not an LED light; the # A52AB you were mentioning is just the lens and the light it goes on # ST52AA is not a close match for your old light. The light that is the closest match to your old 4-1/4" light are the LED Trailer Turn and Parking Light w/ Flange - Submersible - 10 Diodes - Round - Amber Lens # STL43ABX, which are 4" in diameter. I will also add that mixing LED lights with incandescent lights...

  • Is There a Round Amber Light For Trailer Turn Signals
There is a round amber light for turn signals, but not one that is 2-1/2 inches. The smallest round amber light that is for turn signals is the 5-3/4" diameter LED Trailer Turn and Parking Light # STL43ABX.

  • Recommendation of Turn Signal and Parking Light for Off-road use
I recommend the amber trailer turn signal and parking light # ST70AB as it's sealed and waterproof. The rubber grommet # a70gb will provide shock mount protection extending the life of the lamp. The Optronics # MCL157AB could possibly be used as a turn signal but not recommended. The grommet you referred # A56GB would work as it will provide shock protection especially that you will be off-road. It will seat properly once the light is plugged into the grommet. The LED equivalent is amber...
