When you need consistent visibility, this 2" round Peterson light delivers dependable brightness with a premium incandescent bulb rated for up to 15,000 hours of use. The red lens produces a clear signal whether it’s functioning as a clearance or side marker light. It runs on standard 12V DC power, so it ties right into most lighting systems without extra wiring headaches.
Moisture can ruin a trailer light fast. This one takes care of that with a sealed, waterproof housing and lens that keep water and grime from reaching the bulb or sockets. It’s built to handle exposure to rain or spray, making it a solid choice for trailers that see all kinds of weather or wet road conditions.
Visibility at night or in poor weather is key for safety. This light is PC rated, which means it throws light in a full 180-degree spread—90 degrees to either side of center. Today we're taking a look at a Peterson clearance and side marker light. Now this is an incandescent light. It's a round trailer light that functions as both a clearance and a side marker light for your trailer. It has a nice red lens on it with a white base. It's a recessed mount installation with a grommet. Your grommet is sold separately.
You can find that on at etrailer.com with part number 146-18. It accepts an industry standard two prong plug. It will work with 142-49 or B142-50. Both of those are sold separately. You can pick either one, whatever works best for your application.
But your grommet and plug are sold separately. They're available at etrailer.com.Now it does feature a non-replaceable incandescent bulb that is rated with a 15,000 lifelong lifespan. It's a PC rated unit. The product is made in the USA. It's Department of Transportation compliant.
When it comes to the measurements, we'll take a look at that real quick. Then we'll hook it up to power so you can see what it looks like with power running to it. Overall diameter is right around 2". The depth overall to the back of that plug housing measures about 7/8". If we measure from the front of the lens to the back of the lens, just that red portion there, we can see that that gives us a measurement of about 11/16".All right, we're going to go ahead and hook it up to power.
So we've got our two prong plug. It just fits right into the back of the unit there. So you can see here it sends out a really nice clear, consistent signal. Again, it contains one incandescent bulb. That's a 15,000 hour long life bulb, which is included, non-replaceable. Once again, this functions as a clearance light, and a side marker light for your trailer. That's going to do it for today's look at the Peterson clearance and side marker light.
