Hey, everybody. Ryan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be checking out the Peterson PVC Grommet for two inch clearance lights. A grommet like this is gonna be a great replacement for a lot of trailers out there. You know, weather you're going through kind of updating everything, freshening it all up, or just, you know, needing a replacement in general, this'll work out. So a good example today, you have this type of bracket.

All this stuff is missing. This thing was all bent in, I'm assuming something hit it, broke everything and it kind of just fell apart. So, we need to get all of your lights going again and to get us back on the road. And if you want to use a replacement light like this, it's gonna need somewhere to sit, something to hold it in place. And that's where this grommet is gonna come into play.

You know, it'll hold that light and allow you to mount it up to your trailer and get you going. As far as the quality of this goes, it feels good. It's nice and thick. I do like how it's pretty malleable, so it'll be a little bit easier to get in and out of a trailer. Sometimes these things are super hard and it's kind of a pain to install them.

It's not really the case with this one. In terms of what this is gonna work with, so you have your two inch round lights, whether they're amber red or whatever, those are gonna pop in there and it's a pretty tight fit. It holds that light good. The overall size of it, two and three quarters of an inch. And the part that's actually gonna go into the opening, let's say that's 2.32.

A lot of times, from my experience, these openings will be two and one quarter of an inch on a lot of trailers, and having that little bit bigger diameter there allows it to kind of push in and get a good bite. And this bracket too, like I said, it's kind of beat up, but with this being more malleable, it's still able to kind of push in there and set in there how you'd expect it to. Let me get that light in there and get everything mounted up. Other than that, though, not really a whole lot to it, you know, it's well made and it's gonna be a great direct replacement for those of you out there that are trying to get your trailer up and going again.
