Specs:
The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
Recessed-mount trailer lights install with a grommet, which is often sold separately. These lights extend past the trailer surface and require a hole for installation. If replacing a light, you can utilize the pre-existing hole. If installing a new light, you will need to cut a hole or use a mounting bracket (sold separately) to complete the installation.

Today we'll be taking a look at the Optronics Micro-Flex LED trailer light. This is going to have three different functions. We'll have our running lights, brake lights, and turn signal function, so we'll be able to stop, turn, and use our tail lights as well.Has a three-wire plug at the back, so it makes it easy to connect this up. Just plug it in to a three-pronged harness that fits that same design there. It's a pretty standard plug. You can find a lot of wiring options here at etrailer.com.The light has a Micro-Flex faceted lens, which just helps to reflect all that ambient light.
As you can see, it's not even connected to anything, but it still provides a good amount of reflection and refraction of that light. So even when it's parked somewhere, you can still see where that trailer would be. You can mount this horizontally or vertically depending on your application.Sonically sealed, so it can be used on a marine trailer, any kind of submersible application. That also means that nothing's going to get in there and cause any wiring issues. No dirt can get into that housing and cause any issues, either.
The lens is made of a durable polycarbonate, and the same thing goes for the housing. It is compatible with 12-volt DC systems, and it has that red lens over the white LEDs to give us that brake function. If I plug it into our wiring harness here, show you what it looks like whenever it's it up. If we turn it on, that will be our running light circuit. So if we have just our lights on in the vehicle, it'll give us that slightly dimmer light. Then if we use our brakes, it goes brighter.
Same thing for the turn signal. Turn the lights out in the studio and you can see how bright that will be, even in low-light situations. It's still pretty bright. Then when we kick that into our brakes, brighter still.I think this is a really nice-looking light that would make a great addition to any trailer that you would want to use it with. Since it's submersible, makes it a long-lasting light.
LEDs are always going to be more efficient and longer-lasting than incandescent bulbs. There's really no maintenance required with this since we don't have to worry about changing out those bulbs due to the brittle filaments in an incandescent bulb. No issues with that here. It also has less power draw and builds up less heat, so it just, again, overall is more efficient, longer-lasting.You can purchase a recessed grommet to go with this. It is sold separately. That part number is A70GB. You can find that right here at etrailer.com. Really, you can mount this in just about any direction you want to. There's a mounting bracket specifically designed for this light. That part number is BK70BB, also sold separately. You can also find that right here at etrailer.com. That allows this light to be surface-mounted, so it would just be sitting on the surface of your trailer. It is DOT compliant. From outside edge to outside edge, it measures about six and a half inches long by two and five-sixteenth inches tall. It's about one and three quarters inches thick. The power draw at 12 volts for the stop and turn signals, which is those brighter signals. That's going to be 0.161 amps. For the tail light circuit or how I have it here, it's 0.009 amps, so pretty low draw on both of those. It has a limited lifetime warranty on those LEDs from Optronics. That's going to do it for our look at the Optronics Micro-Flex LED trailer tail light.
