2014 Honda Crosstour

Easy to install and works perfectly for my bike rack.

by:
Honda Crosstour

I bought the hitch so I could mount a bike rack for a tandem bicycle on a Honda Crosstour. The hitch works great for that purpose. Installation was straightforward, but removing the rubber rings to lower the exhaust was more challenging than I expected.

Trailer hitch is working great.

Performs exactly as described. Installation was easier on our 2012 Crosstour than our 2014 Crosstour.

Harley Davidson

I purchased a C11002 hitch for my 2010 Honda Cross Tour so I can trailer my Harley Davidson from Massachusetts to Florida and back again. The hitch was easy to install and it has worked well for me for the trip down to Florida and back to Massachusetts. I highly recommend this hitch.

by:

This hitch was an easy install and fit perfect as the instructions were clear and precise. The quality and finish are 5 Star! This is being used for a bike rack and is very sturdy. Thanks etrailer.

by:

Works fine but the mounting holes didn't quite line up with the attachment points on the vehicle. I had carefully bend it to get it to fit.

by:
Honda Crosstour

Great purchase for better half who uses the trailer hitch as a secondary bumper on his newer Honda Crosstour
Highly and enthusiastically recommend
Can self install but had a Chevy car dealer install in a couple of hours
Thanks again

Installation was straight forward and simple. Took me about two hours could have been less but I am pretty picky about doing everything perfect.

2013 Honda Crosstour

Hitch came in very good condition. Wiring harness had no good instructions for the 2013 Honda Crosstour.

by:
2015 Honda Crosstour

I asked this question about the parts received before I discovered this product review option. so I will repeat my question. I got a wire harness for a 2012 Honda Crosstour. the instruction show to put a 15 amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood. There also is a small container for a fuse included in the red wire of the harness. Do I need a fuse in there also? if yes ? what size? Thanks for your help.

I just passed the one year mark with my hitch and it's been FLAWLESS! I mean, perfect! I have towed a zero turn mower about 1/2 dozen times/month, furniture, etc and it's still going strong. It's tightly installed, durable and rugged. I highly recommend it!

by:
2010 Honda Accord

Website to order was very user friendly, hitch delivery was earlier than anticipated, installation was easy. Very happy with the quality and customer service! Longevity of the build is the last part and time will tell!

by:

Great product for the price.

by:
2013 Honda Crosstour

This product blends very well with the existing bumper- actually looks like OEM. Plan to use this to tow a 14' dinghy trailer with about 1,000 lbs of weight.

by:

We ordered this hitch for Christmas for our daughter. We had ordered the wrong style she wanted and when we went to exchange they were prompt about getting the new one out to us. They were on top of it all. The hitch hasn't been installed on the car for further review.

by:

I can sum up my thoughts simply easy, easy ,easy ! I think this hitch is built to a higher standard that is to say Robustly I have no worries as to whether it will prove capable to its intended task , and that's just Nice Ya gotta love that !

by:

Install was super easy, fit perfect, great instructions. Very solid unit.

by:

Solid heavy construction.

by:

Awesome experience and product!
My
hitch arrived in just a couple of days & it only cost me $65 to have it installed (1.25 hrs).
Thanks again!

  • Best Hitch For 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour For A Bike Rack
The Curt Hitch part # C11002 is a custom fit for your 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour and it is your best option for the use of a bike rack. The Curt Hitch gives you a little over 3 inches more ground clearance then the Draw-Tite version for this vehicle so the bike rack is less likely to drag the ground if you are ever in a low ground clearance situation. I recommend the Class I compatible Thule Camber 2 part # TH9058 for your Class I hitch because it only weighs 28lbs so it is very easy...

  • Recommendations for Hitch to Use Bike Rack on 2011 Honda Accord 4 Door Sedan
All of the hitches available for your 2011 Honda Accord 4-Door Sedan are a Class I 1-1/4 inch size. You will want to make sure the bike rack you use is designed to fit a Class I 1-1/4 inch hitch. A Class I hitch will only accept Class I rated accessories. I am including a link to a FAQ page on hitch sizes and different class ratings. It will describe the difference in the Class I rated hitch. The Curt Class I 1-1/4 Inch Hitch, part # 11002, you have mentioned will not fit your Accord....

  • Can a 2015 V6 AWD Honda Crosstour Tow 2 Snowmobiles
As long as the gross trailer weight is under the 1,500 pound capacity and the tongue weight is under the 150 pound capacity of the 2015 Honda Crosstour then you will be good to go as far as occasionally towing the trailer. If the trailer is heavier than the capacity of the vehicle I can't recommend towing it. The suspension would be fine because if the trailer is within the capacity of the vehicle then the tongue weight would be just 150 pounds which it should not have a problem handling...

  • Can I Use My Older Thule Vertex XT Bike Rack With Curt Hitch On 2013 Honda Crosstour
The Curt Hitch part # C11002 fits the 2013 Honda Crosstour and is a Class I hitch so the Vertex would need to be class I compatible for it to fit. Thule no longer produces the Vertex bike racks but there were a few different versions of the Vertex in production at one time. The Thule Vertex 2-bike rack part number 9028XT is compatible with your Class I hitch along with the 4 bike rack version which was part number 9029XT. However, if your Vertex is the swing-away version part # 9031XT...

  • Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2011 Honda Accord
For your 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour you would have to use a 1-1/4 inch hitch like the Curt Hitch part # C11002. 2 inch hitches are designed for larger vehicles like SUVs trucks and vans. For a bike rack you would have to go with one that is confirmed to fit a Class I hitch, using an adapter would be a great idea since they cut the capacity of the hitch they are used on in half. The most popular bike rack we carry that has been confirmed to fit this vehicle is the Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack...

  • Why Cant More than 2 Bikes be Carried on a Class I Trailer Hitch on a 2013 Honda Crosstour
That is correct. On a Class I hitch it isn't the weight that is the issue. It is how far that weight is from the hitch receiver. A third and subsequent bikes will be too far from the receiver which will put a lot of extra stress on the hitch and where it attaches to the vehicle. If you have ever used a long wrench or breaker bar to loosen a lug nut it is the same concept: if the lever is long enough it takes very little force to loosen that nut. And if the weight on a bike rack is far enough...

  • Solution for Hitch Install Where Weldnut of Vehicle Frame Gets Stripped
I have to recommend you find a way to use that mounting point on your hitch. What you will need to do is find the next size up thread tap and tap the threads to the next size up and source a bolt with the matching threads so that you can secure the hitch with all of the intended holes. If you do not use all of the mounting points of the hitch the warranty would be voided regardless of how you plan to use the hitch.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch And Wiring For 2013 Honda Crosstour
The trailer hitches we offer that are designed to fit your 2013 Crosstour, like the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C11002, are Class l hitches and have a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. Using a hitch adapter like part # HTAD does reduce the capacity of the hitch by 50 percent. This means for towing you would be limited to a trailer that weighs less than 1,000 lbs and a tongue weight about 100 lbs. If the weight of your bikes and bike rack together do not exceed 100 lbs, the HTAD would work...

The Honda Crosstour is part of the Accord family and we do have a trailer hitch option for the 2011 model. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11002 which is a bolt-on fit. It has a class I rating with 1-1/4" receiver tube opening.

I recommend the 20 x 47 Reese Cargo Carrier, part # 63155 for your 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour. This combines a mesh floor and raised sides to give you extra versatility in cargo carrying. It is rated to carry up to 300lbs, though you'll want to verify your towing and tongue weight capacity in your owner's manual prior to use. • Solution for Stripped Weld Nut When Installing Trailer Hitch
If you can access an open end of the frame where the weld nut broke off you could fishwire a new carriage bolt in place of the weldnut. Otherwise you may have to weld the hitch on or see if a local garage like you mentioned could come up with a way to re-weld in a weld nut. For a bolt leader you could then use the # C58400. I attached a link to an install video that at the 1:30 mark shows how to fishwire hitch hardware. You will need to drill out the old weld nut.

I recommend the EcoHitch # 306-X7299 because it has a higher tongue weight capacity of 525 pounds verses the 200 pounds of the Curt and with the 2" receiver opening, you have many more options for accessories.
