Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 18 3/8 inches long equalizer for the 2 1/2 inch wide slipper springs, and this is a left hand or right hand configuration. Now, this equalizer will connect your slipper springs on a tandem or triple axle trailer, and transfer impact between the axles to ensure that the load is evenly distributed. Now, when this is installed, the equalizer will suspend from the center hanger right here through this hole. Now, the center hanger is sold separately.

You attach one spring with a bolt through the eye on this end, and then you slip the arched end of the other slipper spring into the equalizer on this end. Again, this will transfer the load and sudden impacts from one axle to another. Distributes the weight evenly, results in a nice, smooth ride for the trailer. Now, this equalizer here is designed for use on trailers with a 10,000 pound general duty Dexter Axle and leaf springs with the 3/4 inch rubber eye bushings. This will allow for a 42 1/4 inch axle spacing.

Few specs on this, we're gonna give you the measurements. The overall length from one end to the other, put our tape measure on that is gonna be 18 3/8 inches long. The width on this, outside to outside is gonna be right at three inches. And the overall height, bottom to the very top is 5 1/4 inches tall. Now again, this is designed to fit 2 1/2 inch wide slipper leaf springs.

The center bolt hole diameter right here is a one inch diameter. And the side bolt hole diameter for mounting the spring is a 3/4 inch diameter. And we did mention the configuration on this can be used for left hand or right hand side.
