Sexy,
I put it in the receiver on top
of my headache rack. It sticks out over the bed of my truck

Oh that sounds interesting! We would love to see some pictures!

Easily assembled. Coating is average if expecting it from a large large production run. Red reflection tape will tell it's tale in time.

This cargo tray seemed to fit my needs perfectly. I do appreciate the design, as it looks a little bit more refined than some of the other products. However, the construction doesn’t quite live up to its appearance. The main receiver portion was bent to the point that the left side of the cargo tray hung almost 3 inches below the right side. I needed to use it right away, so rather than returning it, I simply made some adjustments to the receiver that was on the back of our travel trailer. Placing a few washers between the bolts, the trailer frame member and the receiver made it level out, but I’m still disappointed that it was manufactured in this manner. This is in no way a criticism of e trailer, as I’ve used their products many time in the past, and their customer service has always been superb. Had I had the time, I’m sure they would’ve exchange this for another one.

Assembly instructions very easy. Well done, thanks.
Only upgrade/tip I would share is: if the threaded hitch pin bolt doesn’t thread easily, you may have to pull down on one side of the cargo carrier to make the alignment to the hitch better. When you do this, it threads by hand. My alignment is off a bit….
The threaded hitch pin Bolt requires a 15/16 inch wrench versus the 7/8 inch stated in the Instructions.
Thanks again

Note - I purchased and installed the Draw Tite hitch receiver from you a few months ago.

by:

Works perfectly for lighter weight generators, larger coolers or other bulky cargo. .

by:

Well built, used to carry a couple sets of golf clubs from PA to FLA and back.
Suggestion: In order to reduce the road grime hitting whatever is in the basket, I cut out a couple pieces of aluminum and bolted them to the front of the basket, painted them black and voila... food for thought

by:

solid unit, easy to assemble

  • Will Yakima EXO Swing Away Cargo Carrier Swing Out to Driver Side
The Yakima EXO Swing Away Cargo Carrier part # Y72VR only swings out to the passenger side which is by design because it's away from traffic. That said, I do have an option for you that will swing out to the driver side but it would be a combination of parts using the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender part # PVD20B and Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier part # S68FR. The good thing about this option is that you can use the swing-away with any accessory that has a 2" shank such as a bike...

  • Is There A Hitch Pin Lock For Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier?
Yes, you can use Locking Anti-Rattle, Threaded Hitch Pin # S64027 to lock your 17x50 Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier # S68FR to a 2" trailer hitch receiver. I attached a helpful demonstration video for you.

  • Hitch and Accessories Needed to Install Cargo Carrier on 2008 Toyota Highlander
For starters, you will need to install a hitch like the Draw-Tite # 75726. You will also need a pin and clip, part # PC3 or a locking hitch pin like # e98882 to secure the cargo carrier in the receiver. These are the necessities, but there are other accessories that you might be interested in. There is a light kit available # e98943-44LED. If you are interested in a light kit, you would need to install a 4-pole trailer connector on the vehicle, part # 118449. A cargo bag like the etrailer...

  • Which Cargo Bag Will Fit The Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier S68FR?
The Rhino-Rack Rooftop Cargo Bag - Waterproof - 7 cu ft - 55" x 19-1/2" x 11-1/2" # RRLB200 is the best option for the 17x50 Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 400 lbs # S68FR. The bag itself is 5" longer than the cargo carrier, but it is a flexible bag so they would work well together. The bag has 6 integrated straps to secure itself to the cargo carrier and it is also made of waterproof material so your belongings will not get damaged from rain or snow. Keep in mind,...

  • Can the Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier Be Inverted and Used in a Front Hitch on a 1-Ton Truck
Yes, the 17x50 Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier # S68FR can be used in the front hitch of your one-ton truck. I do not see a reason why you could not use the Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier # S68FR with the shank of the carrier flipped over. The shank has holes in the side where the bolt feeds through. Flipping the shank over would still allow the holes on the side to be accessible, but it would invert the carrier to then sit lower than the hitch. While I believe this will work, it was not...

  • Concern About Length of Warranty and Product Durability with Cargo Carrier
The warranty on the hitch-mount cargo carriers we offer will range from 90-days like the popular Flint Hill Goods # FHG77ZR to a lifetime warranty like the Swagman Expanse # S68FR or the etrailer Cargo Carrier # e98874. Most carriers have a 1-year limited warranty - as do the majority of consumer products. The key to the longevity of a cargo carrier is to use it within it specified capacity and to give it just basic care, such as a periodic wash to remove salt and dirt. If you eventually...

  • Cargo Carrier For 2 Inch Trailer Hitch With 4 Inch Depth
We can help you out here, though you definitely won't want to drill any holes in the shanks of a cargo carrier as that can compromise the integrity of the carrier. I was able to find one hitch cargo carrier that will work for your Volvo, from Swagman: - Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # S68FR According to Swagman's dimensions, this cargo carrier measures exactly 2-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of its shank, so it will just be able to fit in your...

  • Why is Distance From Hitch Pin Hole to Carrier so Long For Reese Cargo Carrier
The reason the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the 24x60 Reese Cargo Carrier # 63153 is so long (12-3/4") is to maximize bumper clearance for as many vehicles as possible. There are vehicles that have hitches which install a good distance away from the bumper, and the long clearance allows the carrier to be used with those vehicles. That said, if you don't like that length, there are other cargo carriers with shorter lengths from the hitch pin hole...

  • Recommended Hitch For 2021 Heartland North Trail Travel Trailer to Carry Cargo Carrier
I have a solution for you, but you will need to measure the distance between the side frame stanchions on your trailer. Assuming that your trailer frame is between 22" and 72" wide, the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 22" to 72" Wide # 13703 is likely going to be the best fit since it fits on box frame, I-beam and C channel frames. This hitch can be welded on or bolted directly to the frame and it has a 350-lbs tongue weight capacity, so it's going to be perfect for a cargo...

  • Trailer Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier with Good Ground Clearance for a 2015 Ford Explorer
For your 2015 Ford Explorer if you have a 2 inch receiver opening I recommend the Swagman Expanse cargo carrier # S68FR.
