Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Good Product, Good Price, and Great Service from etrailer every step of the way.

Documentation was excellent. Product received free of defects.
Installation was easy.

by:

I do not know that I have ever received such excellent service.
The procuct was top of the line and your delivery service was exceptional.
I was more than pleased, I was impressed. I would recommend etrailer.com overall.

by:

Nice company to do business with. The hitch was receive in less than a week. It took less than 45 minutes to get it installed. The wiring kit was very easy to install. I even got a follow up email from this company to make sure that everything was OK.

by:
Ford

Removing the muffler from the rubber mounts was not easy. I tried soapy water for a long time then went to silicone. Forget the soapy water...go silicone. This is definitely a job done much more easily with two people. But, once in place and secure it looks great and works great. I would definitely recommend over paying close to $500 for the Ford installed version.

by:

I choose etrailer for the name brand qualities that use - drawtite is well known and when I received it, it did not dissapoint.

Other than price, the installation videos sealed the deal.

by:

Very easy to install, just follow the instructions as they are laid out in order. You will have no problems at all. I only wish that they made an aftermarket hitch that installed behind the removable bumper cover insert.

The Hidden Hitch trailer hitch receiver and vehicle wiring harness I ordered for my 2013 Ford Explorer arrived fast and installed quickly. I am very impressed with both purchases and will certainly purchase from you again.

by:

I initially ordered the wrong hitch and contact etrailer by email immediately to address the issue. I had nothing but excellent service. The correct hitch was ordered and the incorrect hitch was removed. I received the ordered items promptly. I am completely happy with the service I received.

I have yet to put the part on at this time.

Thank you for such great service. I look forward to installing and using the hitch.

I will highly recommend etrailer to my friends and family.

The Hidden Hitch is great. Easy installation. Clean concealed look. Exactly as described.

Rather than write a product review, which is very good, I want to write a report on the excellent level of service received from etrailer.
Great upfront information, tracking data, and especially the follow up. I have never received the level of complete service on a vehicle accessory plus details installation instruction that were easy to follow.
I received the hitch yesterday and installed in by myself in under one hour.

As I need additional accessories I will rely on etrailer.

Thanks. Your service is what service should be.

2011 Ford Explorer

I bought a new 2011 Ford Explorer, I need to pull a small utility trailer. I bought this hitch from etrailer, this was so easy to install. It took about an hour to install by myself. Reading the directions, they were very easy to understand. The tips were very helpful too, soap was a very helpful tip to get the rubber isolators off the exhaust. I lowered the exhaust in the three places, and it fit perfectly. One thing I needed to do that was a pain was to do as they said, I should have tightened the bolts to # 6, 7, and 8 before I raised the hitch onto the car. I thought it only needed to be in place before installing. Make sure to put on the rubber isolators onto #6, 7, and 8 and tighten the set up before raising the hitch onto the car (it was a pain to tighten while hitch was up on the car. The hitch looks great, it is not ugly and works great. See attached pics.

The hitch looks good but tore through the box from shipping and has the powder coat rubbed off on the side that faces out. I had to touch up with paint . Is there anything you can do for me? I needed it so don’t want to exchange or return. Thank you

2016 Ford Explorer

I purchased this hitch through etrailer because they were able to get it to me in less than a week and it was $50 less than what I found on Amazon. The hitch was packaged good with only a small rip in the box. Very solid product and very easy to install myself in less than hour verses spending $200 to have a shop install it for me. I would recommend etrailer and Draw Tite hitches to anyone.

Ford Explorer

This was a perfect match for my Ford Explorer. I was a little worried with the installation of the bolts, but it was very easy to install and the instructions were very clear. The support from etrailer is unmatched.

Great Product! Bought it to use for my Hollywood Bike rack SE-4. Recently used it to tow a uhaul trailer over 900 miles with no issues. Its strong and sturdy. Installation is fairly easy. Recommend looking at how to video in advance. Arrived quickly in order to use it in a short timeline I needed the hitch. Advise to look at stock bolts that will need to be removed in advance to see how much rust exist. Could be a challenge removing them. This is not against the product or etrailer. Highly recommend this product and wished I purchased it sooner. Additionally purchased Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and curt mounting bracket.

2014 Ford Explorer

First time buying from etrailer. My order arrived at my house faster than expected. Installation of the drawtite hitch on my 2014 ford explorer went exactly as expected- I followed the video tutorial on the etrailer website and was able to install the hitch by myself in just under 2 hours at home in my garage. I am NOT a mechanic, so I was relieved when my installation followed the video exactly. The video was well done, the hitch went on smoothly, and the parts appear high quality. I am very pleased with the purchase. I will buy from etrailer again.

  • Comparing Trailer Hitches for 2018 Ford Explorer
The Draw-Tite Class III # 76034, the etrailer.com # e98867, and the Curt # C13386 trailer hitches that are available for your 2018 Ford Explorer all feature an extremely similar design and will mount using the same existing holes on the vehicle's frame. The primary difference between the three models are their weight capacities, which is why I recommend the Draw-Tite # 76034. It features the highest towing capacity of 4,500 pounds and tongue weight limit of 675 pounds, indicating a stronger...

The hitches offered by our suppliers would install so that the receiver tube would sit directly under the bumper, like the Curt # C13386 shown in the provided photo.
