Question:
Is it recommended to use Locktite when installing a hitch? I just ordered a Draw-Tite for my Explorer and was wondering if I should use Locktite on the bolts when I install it.

Using LocTite is not required when installing the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 76034 on your 2011 Ford Explorer, but it would not be a bad idea to use some. I recommend using Loctite Blue Stick Threadlocker, part # LT37643, which you apply to the threads of the bolts. You want to make sure to use a torque wrench and torque down all bolts as specified in the instructions.
With a few basic tools you will be able to install the hitch in your driveway. Drilling is not required for installation, but you need to temporarily lower the exhaust. An extra set of hands is helpful when raising the hitch into position.
