Fully welded vehicle trailer hitch is strong and durable. Draw-Tite's Tested Tough guarantee ensures that this hitch exceeds industry standards. The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection.
Features:
Specs:
Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

We liked it but now we have no further use for it. Do you know where I might sell it second hand?
Received product quickly. Instructions were easy to understand. Would recommend ETrailer
Received the hitch sooner than I expected. Installation on my 2012 XC70 was easy. Highly recommended.
Wow, upgraded my shipping for free and kept me updated on the shipping process every step of the way. Item came in excellent condition and as described. Opted to have a body shop install the hitch, but the instructions and video online were more than self-explanatory. Great experience. This is how service should be! Thank you again e-trailer team!
Perfect fit and looks great. Easy to follow assembly instructions, batteries not included. And.......... never needs ironing! Well engineered product and very easy to install at home with very basic hand tools. This is our second hitch from eTrailer.com and this one was just as good as the first one. Thanks!
Great product, easy installation. I used blue painters tape to hold up the metal spacer blocks. Then raised hitch on a small tool box and wood. Volvo S60 facia clicks off and on easily.
The hitch receiver fit just right and works well. We use it with a 2 bike Thule rack and sometimes when camping we use a HAUL-MASTER 500 lb. Capacity Steel Cargo Carrier with a storage tote strapped down. I would definitely recommend etrailer.com
This product was an exact fit for my 2013 Volvo xc70 T6. Very straight forward install and comes with new extended hardware and spacers if needed. I reused all my hardware except 2 bolts that hold the tow point in place.

Thanks for sharing the photo! What sorts of things will you be towing now that you have the hitch squared away?
I hooked this hitch up to a 2008 VOLVO V70. I pull a small trailer for hauling items to the dump or helping family members move various. The hitch has worked great and my little VOLVO hauls it all just fine. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS HITCH!
Installed on a 2013 Volvo XC70. Used the video installation video found on webpage of product to install the hitch as well as going over the instructions.
Product arrived undamaged in proper secure shipping box. Came with bolts washers and spacers. The spacers were not mentioned in the video install guide, the paper instructions explain them, but it would be more helpful if the install video addressed them. I figured out I did not need them on my model (I hope), after reading the instructions.
Removal of bumper: My bumper had lights/wiring connected. I could not for the life of me disconnect the wiring, so it just moved it to the side and set it up on supports to not cause tension on wiring that connects bumper lights. Was able to install hitch without issue.
Instructions were a little confusing on location to cut out of under bumper for hitch clearance. My cut was a little wide on one side, tried to show in picture looking up at hitch.
Having the correct tools will greatly help. I actually had to cut a portion of my torx screwdriver handle, so I could remove one of the torx screws holding on the wheel fender well. It was that or remove the tire. A small or angled torx screwdriver would be best.
Overall a easy install for a novice. Took me less than 3 hrs. Having a 2nd set of hands helps when it comes to lifting the hitch and bumper piece up and starting a couple bolts. I installed this by myself.
Information in the online "catalog" provided complete info needed to make a decision. Hitch and accompanying wiring harness were received promptly, along with easy-to-follow instructions for installation. Entire installation - hitch and trailer light wiring - was completed in under 2 hours. No glitches. This is the 2nd time I have used etrailer.com. They have their program down pat, from timely acknowledgement of the order, to shipping, to quality products.
I'd like to register a complaint. Typically, for car projects in the garage, I like to allocate an entire afternoon with just me, my tools, and plenty of pilsner beers to complete the task.
This install was so straightforward and easy, thanks to the instructions and online videos, that I completed the project in only 2.5 pilsners. This allowed me too much time to work on my wife's assigned projects for the rest of the afternoon.
But seriously... This a real-deal, top quality product. I've towed lots of stuff with it with no problems. And it's not obtrusive-looking on the car. Good stuff. Highly recommend!
Installed on a 2008 Volvo XC70
This really couldn't have been any more straight forward to install. I hit a snag with a stripped bolt in a hard to reach place (13mm bolt connecting to the tow hook assembly on the right side), but once I resolved that issue by moving some additional components out of the way, it was smooth sailing. You don't need any specialized tools, and I was able to do the job from start to finish with T20 and T25 torques bits, and 10mm and 13mm socket wrenches. Took about 1.5 hours by myself.
TIP: A floor jack makes an excellent set of extra hands for holding the hitch in place when bolting it in by yourself!
etrailers has a great set of installation videos [online] that were extremely easy to follow. I used this one for my 2008 Volvo xc70.
The product came quickly and was packaged well to avoid damage. I was surprised how strong it was. Installation was pretty easy, I wouldn’t say a 10 in difficulty like the website. More like a 6. I was concerned it wouldn’t fit my car which is a special model called R Design, but it fit perfectly. The most difficult part was getting both sides of the bumper to align, the spacers push out the bumper pretty far so the cover is a very tight fit., think wife trying to fit into wedding dress 15 years later tight. The bottom I wasn’t able to put screws back in so I just used zip ties. I may take a grinder to trim Back the spacers a 1/4 inch to better fit without zip ties. I would very much recommend. It looks good and is well hidden. Installation hints: put tape on the rear fender to avoid scratching while putting bumper back on. Also do a search of online videos to see how to remove Bumper cover, that easily saved me 40 minutes.
I installed this today on a 2016 XC70. The video really spells it all out extremely well. I would add a couple of points to watch out for.
1) the 10mm nuts under the bumper fascia are plastic. Mine were finger tight. When you reattach them, use a wrench and not a power driver or you risk stripping and splitting the plastic.
2) I have parking sensors and corner marker lights in the bumper fascia. You’ll need to disconnect that as you remove the fascia. Have a helper hold up the fascia while you do this, or support the fascia on a box or something else.
3) I did the job solo, with the car on the ground. The step where you lift the hitch and the bumper onto the car and attach it is probably best done with a helper. However, I was able to support the hitch on a step stool at the correct height to attach the bolts into the car.
Next up, doing the wiring. I use this hitch to attach a Yakima 4-bike rack with the Lampost lighting device (this is no longer available from Yakima).
I should have bought from etrailer sooner!! I’ve been reluctant to add a receiver hitch to my Volvo wagon due to aesthetics. I’ve always had one on my Ford trucks - but hey this is my kinda sporty grocery getter wagon. Well I’m getting older and would prefer a bike rack below shoulder level. That lead me to want a receiver hitch and my daughter’s fiancé used etrailer to find a hitch, so he sent me a link to the web site. Options, prices, videos were over the top and I ordered one on my first visit. It arrived today and I’m completely satisfied with design and workmanship. Here’s a photo of the install without the bumper cover reinstalled. Couldn’t have done it without the videos. Once the bumper cover is back on I won’t even notice the addition.
I think the estimate of 2 hours to install is a good one. In fact, most of the issues I had was while trying to get the body panels back on. One tip I would make is that you have a vinyl siding tool handy. I had one and it made it easier to pop the panels back on.
Regarding the hitch, it was a piece of cake. Instructions were clear (watched the video online first) and components are excellent. I am very pleased with the installation and finish. I think my friends and relatives are now lining up to have me help them.
I installed this receiver hitch on a 2016 Volvo V60 Cross Country T5. I watched the instructional videos and made my installation take no time at all. I only reverted to the written instructions for the amount of torque required on the bolts. I was skeptical about cutting the trim to fit the hitch but I think it looks very professional and at the right heath for my bike carrier. Thank you.
Exactly what we were hoping for. Your service was great and your shipping was excellent. We got it exactly as promised.
God bless you! He loves you!
Hitch fit like a hand in a glove. Well finished, speedy delivery, with appropriate hardware which I didn't need. Video implied easy, straight forward bumper cover removal, but was the most difficult to execute, Volvo's to blame for that one.
Finished product is of sight except for the receiver.
Fairly straightforward install. Hardest part was getting the bumper fascia unclipped to remove it.
Very pleased with the purchase of the e trailer hitch, the instructions were right on, everything lined up and installed as I expected.
When I read it was a 10 of 10 for difficulty I was a bit worried. This install was a breeze. My 15 year old helped me and we were done in just over an hour. On the S60 we did not even need to cut the bumper cover. Cannot even tell it's installed unless you are looking for it.
Quick delivery and excellent video. Perfect fit.
Bought this as a gift for my daughter's 2017 V60 Cross Country. Ordered it last week, here on Monday. Delivery was excellent!
The instructions were thorough. The paper work included the original manufacturing traveler with the QA control marks. Love this!
It helped that I backed the car up on a ramps. It involved less bending and more visibility to the underside of the rear of the vehicle. The clearance to remove the screws in the wheel well was tight. I put a photo of the 1/4" ratchet with the T-25 bit.
Putting in the spacers in the bumper/hitch stackup required some thought and balancing. I started with the bottom two bolts, finger-threaded. That left enough play in the upper four bolts to bring it together.
Cutting the bumper for hitch clearance caused me the most anxiety. It's my daughter's baby and I didn't want to mess this up. I used a rotary tool and a utility knife for trimming and it came out fine. I cut a little less than the instructions said at first, just because you can't put back what you cut away. In the end, the fit was perfect.
The total project took about three hours, including supper. I'm very happy with the product and the on-line help available to finish this job. Let's see what my daughter thinks tomorrow... (grin).

The pictures are great, Trønd! Glad to know that the facia wasn't a huge hassle, either. What will you be towing with the new hitch?
