With a 5,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight rating and 750 lbs maximum tongue weight, this Class III hitch gives you plenty of capacity for light to moderate towing and everyday hauling. It’s built to handle bike racks, cargo carriers, or a small trailer without breaking a sweat. The 2" x 2" receiver opening works with most standard towing accessories, so your existing gear will fit right in.
The fully welded steel construction gives this hitch the strength and rigidity you need for reliable towing. It’s finished with a gloss black powder coat over a protective base layer to keep rust and corrosion away, even when the weather turns rough. The round-tube design gives it a clean look that blends well with most vehicle styles while staying tough where it counts.
This hitch is designed for simple DIY installation using existing holes in the frame—no drilling or welding required. The complete hardware kit and detailed instructions are included so you can get it bolted up and ready to use in your own driveway. Once installed, the design aligns cleanly with the frame for a stable fit that looks like it belongs there.
Precision, robotic welding ensures consistent quality and dependable performance every time you tow. Whether you’re hauling a utility trailer, setting up for a road trip with extra cargo space, or loading bikes for the weekend, this hitch is ready to go whenever you are.

Still happy with the hitch. We do not tow. Only used for a bike rack.

Second submitted review. I had bought the trailer hitch for pulling my mechanics toolbox trailer and was hit with a mobility issue so I now use it mainly for my wheelchair and scooter. I still standby my first review this has been the best company to have purchased from. The E-trailer staff will never turn there back on you, every time you need anything they are only a call away thank You again to your staff.

That is one of the most inventive ways we have seen customers solve the flexed hitch problem. And it sounds like it worked just dandy! The problem you are describing is not uncommon and is what we call a flexed hitch. The hitches do occasionally get bent slightly out of shape during the shipping process. Just check and make sure that you dont see any cracks in the paint or chipping where it was flexed, because that would indicate the hitch has been manipulated enough to be considered unsafe.

Works like a champ! Your team is awesome...I have suggested many friends and coworkers consider etrailer for their hitch needs.Regarding your question, if I had to do it again, etrailer would be my first and only stop.
