This Curt trailer hitch receiver is built for everyday hauling without overdoing it. With a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening, a 200 lbs tongue weight rating, and 2,000 lbs gross trailer weight capacity, it’s right at home pulling small campers, utility trailers, or lightweight boats. The fully welded steel frame handles towing stress reliably, so you can take on small projects and trips knowing the hitch can handle the load.
The Class I 1-1/4" receiver opening works with most two-bike racks and compact cargo carriers made for lighter vehicles. It’s a simple way to expand your cargo space for weekend rides or road trips. The sturdy round-tube design keeps a clean look under the bumper while giving you a solid mount point for gear that would otherwise never fit inside your car.
No need for welding or guessing where to drill—this hitch is designed to bolt directly onto your vehicle using included hardware. The precision, robotic welding ensures proper alignment so the mounting holes line up exactly where they should. Add in the detailed instructions and you’ve got an install that most folks can tackle in their driveway with standard tools.
Even when exposed to road grime, rain, or salt, this hitch stays looking sharp. The gloss black powder coat sits over a protective base layer for better rust resistance and durability. The finish also helps resist chips and scratches from everyday use, keeping the round-tube design looking tidy as long as you own it.

I felt concerned that I would have problems with the hitch since getting it onto the car had been complicated with many machinations, but it has worked well and I have had no problems with it

Occasionally hitches will make contact with a vehicles exhaust system. There are a few ways to fix the rattling issues. Bending the exhaust hanger can allow you to raise or lower the exhaust. If the exhaust hanger is bolted to the vehicle then you can unbolt it and reposition it. Another option is replacing the rubber isolator to a shorter of longer isolator to lower or raise the exhaust. I have attached a link with more detail.
