Question:
I would like to buy this hitch but what do you recommend to do about the problem with the muffler clearance?

Helpful Expert Reply:
I spoke with my contact at Curt and although he has not had any reports of issues with muffler clearance, if you begin to experience noise after installing the Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C11303, he recommends using an insulated type of exhaust wrap to stop any metal to metal contact between the hitch and the muffler.
I have attached an article and two videos for you.
