This hitch is ready for real work with a 2" x 2" receiver opening and Class III rating. It’s built to handle 5,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 500 lbs maximum tongue weight. When paired with weight distribution, those numbers jump to 10,000 lbs GTW and 1,000 lbs TW. I havent used the hitch hardware much but I like it. The tailgate is the star. I like it a lot and the open design makes parallel parking in the city so easy. I also get a lot of questions and nice comments about the look.
