Question:

2003 Dodge 1500 8/02 built, 8 foot bed. The bumper beam hangs in a bracket attached to the frame rail on my truck. It appears that this hitch needs to mount in the hole that the beam bracket is covering. I do not have any other holes in the frame other than the forward most 1/2 inch hole.

Thank you for the photo; due to the beam that hangs there isn't going to be a way for discontinued hitch 13320 to install properly on your 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 because the beam will interfere.

Instead you can use the Draw-Tite hitch # 75135 which has a tongue weight capacity of 500 lbs and towing capacity of 5,000 lbs and bolts onto the beam underneath your bumper. This hitch will work UNLESS you have a rollpan bumper on your Ram. Should that be the case you will need Curt hitch # 13326.
