Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the replacement fan motor assembly kit for Fantastic Vent Roof Vent Fans. This is going to replace that original vent fan that came with your Fantastic Vent Roof Fan. It's going to have al the same specs as that. It does have the motor already attached with the bowtie bracket on the back. You'll just need to secure that in place on your vent with the screws that came with your kit. There is no hardware that comes with this, so you will have to replace either with the original hardware or pick up some on your own.Has the two wires for your power and ground hookup.
They already come with butt connectors on them, so that's one last step you have to do. This does have to be connected to 12 volt power. As far as the measurements for this fan, from the mounting hole on either side of the bowtie bracket, center on center, that's going to be 11 and a 16th inches from the height of the mounting holes themselves, that's going to be five and 5/16th inches. From the inside edge to inside edge of that bracket, that's going to be 12 and 5/8ths. You can see a little bit better if I hold it in front maybe.
The fan diameter itself, that is going to be 11 and 3/8ths, so that gives you an idea of what that should bit, but it will work with the Fantastic Vent Roof Vans. You can check those part numbers out on our website. This will be a direct replacement from Fantastic Fans, so it should work out well. That's going to do it for our look at the replacement fan motor assembly kit for Fantastic Vent Roof Fans.

Replaces the bow-tie bracket, motor, and blade for your Dometic FanTastic roof vent fan (FV800800, FV801200, FV801250, FV802250, FV803350, FV807350, or 7300 Series).Haven’t installed it yet but I’m guessing it won’t be an issue. Wasn’t sure if this one deserves a 4 or a 3. Reason is the finish on the plastic is not the same quality as the original fan from Fantastic. The frame section has the flashing that you get sometimes from injection molding. I don’t think it will effect the operation as the fan blade looks fine. I might try to salvage the Fantastic frame and use it again. As I mentioned I have not installed it yet so don’t know if the motor works but I’m sure it will.
Received correct part, installed easily, works perfectly. Thanx.
Next, need to order new screen and vent cover.

The motor seems MUCH smaller than the original. Just curious if this is the right assembly because Its so different.
Nice new fan motor assemblies for some pretty old roof vents.
Got the parts in 3 days, etrailer is the place to get your RV parts!
My original Fantastic Fan purchased on Amazon failed after only a couple month. Very disappointing since it was a major installation on my cargo trailer. Fortunately etrailer carries replacement fans. Amazing product inventory for sure. The fan arrived in perfect conditions and was relatively easy to install. Now fingers crossed this one last longer than the original. Fantastic Fans I've had on previous RV's never had a problem.
The motor works well, however the fan blades after a bit of running the fan, cracked and a section broke off. Ducted tape the entire outside of the fan and it seems to still be working well. Would like to find just the replacement fan blade but can't seem to find the part anywhere.
Unit arrived sooner than promised. Installation very easy and done from the top. I removed the large vent cover (7/16" socket) then the four screws on the bow-tie. The old unit lifted out but I had to loosen the black (white) lead on the "vent closed" cutoff switch and move it out of the way. The new unit dropped in, bow-tie holes matched perfectly and after putting in the screws, I cut the wires and used the crimp connectors on the new fan to connect to the fixture wiring. I used cable ties to fasten the leads to the bow-tie arms and to gather excess wiring to keep it out of the way. Tools needed: 7/16" socket to remove and install the hood, #2 phillips screwdriver, wire cutter, knife to trim wire, and plier to crimp connector. See pictures. Fan motor does make a different sound than the original but it works and the old one didn't. The fan itself is also about 1/2" less diameter but that doesn't seem to have made a difference in effectiveness.
Went right in, works great. We've had nothing but good experiences with etrailer.com

Its been a year and still going strong!
Was able to install into original 1967 vent, by making a mount with some aluminum angle. Quality original fantastic fan part
It was not the item that would work for me . Returned it seemed to be of good quality. Ordered a complete fan instead.

Fantastic love it
Easy replacement reasonable price
It is a perfect fit but it didn’t work not the new fan but something else is cause. I don’t know why but I think it is possible the board it self. Would order again but I have sold the Motorhome and not my problem.
Drop in replacement for the original Jan '08 model 8000 Fan-Tastic Vent fan in my Fleetwood class C. Wires were black & red. My coach wires were blue & black. Attached black to black & red to blue and it worked great. Screw holes lined up though the fan diameter was slightly smaller than the original. The old one was white, the new clear.
Great prices and great shipping

Working perfectly!
Received the “Fan Motor Assembly” and after paying a little over $100 to have it installed, the technician turns it on and the plastic fan blades are warped and it makes an awful scraping sound.
A lot of wasted money on this item!
Very disheartening!

I would like to reach out to the manufacturer to see if there are any fixes I can offer. I know that since this is model specific to the FV800800, FV801200, FV801250, FV802250, FV803350, or FV807350 models. Which model do you have?
This is an exact replacement at a good price.

The fan works fine, and I actually ordered two so I would have a spare. I have 3 of them in my 43ft rv, and now the original one in my master bath needs replacement. The one you shipped was an exact replacement, and installation was no sweat. Especially since my son did it!
etrailer has always supplied me with quality parts.

A year later, this thing is chugging! I’ve spent the summer in NE and haven’t had to use the AC, the fam is quieter than the previous and moves CuFf of air like nothing. Can I add a star?
Just installed last night, an easy swap with direct replacement.
This is the original Atwood equipment, not a copy. I am using it to retrofit into the original vent on a 1967 Airstream Globetrotter. Attached photo is the fitment trial, it should be perfect. I have 1-1/2 inch aluminum angle to make mounting brackets to use the original holes in the Airstream and the fan. Will probably use a radiator mounting kit to install it on springs.
Easy installation! The fan blade was about a half short in diameter but the bug screen covered it up. A manual didn't come with the shipment. However, Amy from customer service got me all of the information I needed to complete the install. Thanks again and I highly recommend this unit for a Fantastic RV vent fan replacement.
Perfect replacement. However, instructions would have been beneficial, lol.

It’s been a year since the install. It was an easy install and the fan has been working great. No issues noted and I expect to get many years out of it.
