Question:
MaxxTow Dual Hitch Extender for 2inch Trailer Hitches - 12inch Long Do you have something with load capacity of 5,000 lbs+

Expert Reply:
Roadmaster offers a Dual Hitch Receiver, part # RM-077-4 that has a 10,000 lb towing capacity. However, the Receiver is meant for flat towing a vehicle and carrying a hitch mounted accessory, not for towing a trailer. The top receiver has a 400 lb tongue weight capacity, which means that only 400 lbs of downward force can safely be applied to the Dual Hitch Receiver.
If you're wanting to tow a trailer and carry a hitch mounted accessory at the same time, I'd recommend using the # D210 from Curt. The unit has a 7,500 lb towing capacity and a 750 lb tongue weight capacity. The combined tongue weight of the trailer and the hitch accessory plus whatever's loaded on it cannot exceed 750 lbs.
I've linked you to product description videos for both the parts I've mentioned.

Hi Mike, I have a GMC Sierra with a class 4 hitch installed from the factory. I'd like to carry e-bikes on a dual hitch, they weigh about 200 lbs total including the rack. I also want to tow my bass boat which weighs about 4500 lbs and has a tongue weight of 400 lbs. The Curt D210 seems like the ticket but I need a little more rise to make it work effectively due to spacing. Do you have any suggestions?
