Specs:
This adjustable ball mount has a maximum capacity of 22,000 lbs, making it ideal for heavy-duty towing. The solid steel construction is strong enough to handle large trailers and heavy cargo, and the matte powder coat finish will protect the ball mount from rust and corrosion, even after repeated use. The BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount gives you the strength you need to tow your big loads. And its durable, long-lasting construction can stand the test of time.
Because of its sturdy steel construction, this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount can handle loads up to 22,000 lbs, making it perfect for heavy-duty towing jobs.
The adjustable channel is made of 5/16" thick, laser-cut steel plates. These steel plates can handle high capacities without bending. And because of the laser cutting, the channel plates have consistently sized pin holes, so you can easily remove or reposition the hitch ball platform.
A 1/2" thick steel gusset is welded between the shank and the channel, bracing the mount and keeping the channel from bending, even at the maximum drop or rise.
The solid steel shank is CNC -chamfered, making it easy to slide the shank into and out of your hitch receiver. And with no sharp edges on the shank, the powder coating is less likely to chip and peel.
Each adjustable mount includes a 2-ball platform, which fits in the adjustable channel. The 2 hitch balls are welded onto the solid steel platform for maximum strength and stability.
Finally, the pins and clips included with the ball mount are made of heat-treated steel to withstand the heavy weight from your load. The nickel undercoat with zinc topcoat provides corrosion resistance and ensures the strength of the pin.
To set up this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount, insert the 3" x 3" shank into your hitch's receiver. Slide the 2-ball platform into the adjustable channel, then use the included pins and clips to secure the platform at the height you need. If you need to switch hitch balls, just remove the pins and clips, flip the ball platform over, and reinsert the pins and clips to secure the balls in place. It's that easy.
This BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount is compatible with a wide variety of accessories (sold separately). Instead of using the included ball to tow, you can install a weight distribution shank (358WEIGHTDIST) in the channel of the mount to attach your weight distribution system. Add a clevis (358CLEVIS) or shackle attachment (358EDSA) for off-road or recovery operations. Or simply add a hitch step (358STEP) to easily access your truck bed.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Bulletproof Hitches heavy-duty, adjustable two-ball mount for a three-inch hitch with a drop and a rise. Has a 22,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this two-ball mount will slide into a three-inch hitch receiver and it'll let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. Up front, you have your two different size hitch balls, which will provide the connection point for your trailer coupler.
Those two different size hitch balls are either a 2 5/16 diameter, or if you flip it over, the smaller two-inch diameter. And these will let you tow trailers with different coupler sizes. And to switch the ball around, you just simply remove the two pins on here, flip the ball platform and then reinsert the pins. Pretty simple to do. Just to show you, we're gonna do it here.
Pull out the clips. Go ahead and pull out the bottom pin. Pull out the top pin. And I also wanna show you the pins they use, they're a 5/8 inch diameter corrosion-resistant, hardened steel pin. Features a nickel undercoat and then a zinc plating top coat.
Gives you the best corrosion resistance and it comes with two of those. So, right now, all we have to do is flip this over and get the smaller two-inch ball. And again, you can put it in whatever height you need. I'm just gonna go back to what I had it in. Put our pin through.
Put our pin through there. Take our clips. Slide the clips into place. And now, you're all ready to go with the smaller two-inch ball. So, it's pretty simple to flip the ball around to get the correct ball size you need. The adjustable design on this provides a nice drop or rise. Allows you to tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. So, this would work well with contractors where they might wanna install on one truck and then use that one truck for different size trailers. Now, this is in the drop position showing here. If we put this ball platform in the lowest position, it'll get you a maximum drop of about 5 1/4 inches. If we flip this over into the rise position and then put the ball platform in the highest position, it'll get you a maximum rise of about 4 1/4 inches. Does give you three levels of adjustment. Their measurements between these adjustment holes, center to center is two inches. So, basically, you can move this ball platform lower or raise it higher to match your application. This is a nice, heavy-duty steel construction. It is precision CNC milled and drilled, so that'll give you less rattle because of the close tolerances. They do use a 5/16 thick channel frame, which is very strong and durable. And if you notice down here, they use a half inch thick welded gusset plate here, which will brace the shank and the channel. And then the hitch balls are all welded to the ball platform for extra sturdiness. Now, because of that solid shank, the gusset plate, and that solid dual ball platform, this is built for heavy-duty towing. That steel gusset, which is welded between the shank and the channel, it'll brace the mount, keep that channel from bending even at maximum drop or rise. Total weight on this ball mount is about 54 pounds. One thing I do wanna mention when you do go and install this into your hitch, you do wanna check for clearance with this extra gusset down here. So, the measurement from this gusset to the first set, or first hitch pin hole center is gonna be about 4 1/2 inches. From this gusset it to the second hitch pin hole is about six inches. And this ball mount does have many different dimensions to it, so I do recommend for you to go to the product page of this part number. And on that product page, we'll have a diagram with all the dimensions on this. So, you can look at it and verify any dimensions that might be needed for your application. This part is made in the USA with USA steel. This product is used by the US Military, so it does give you peace of mind that the product uses quality material. This hitch also has a nice powder coat finish on it. It's a textured, heavy-duty black finish. And that heavy-duty finish keeps your ball mount looking like new instead of all worn and rusty after a short use. Now, to install this, when you install this into your hitch receiver, it will require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock for securing it to the receiver. Those items are not included. You would have to supply those or we do sell those separately on our website. Application, again, this fits a three-inch by three-inch trailer receiver. So, this is ideal for vehicles with a 12 inch to 18 inch clearance from the ground to the bottom of the receiver tube. Gross towing weight capacity on this ball mount will depend on the ball size you use. So, if you use the smaller two-inch diameter balls, 12,000 pounds. If you use the larger 2 5/16 diameter ball, be 22,000 pounds. Tongue weight capacity will be 3,000 pounds. Now also, there are a variety of attachments that are available for this ball mount to allow you to use this ball mount as a pintle hitch, a shackle hitch, a hitch step. Basically, you can remove the ball mount and then in this channel, put those different items. Those items are listed on this product page as a related product. But that should do it for the review on this Bulletproof Hitches heavy-duty, adjustable two-ball mount for three-inch hitch with a drop and a rise, and a 22,000 pound gross towing weight capacity..
