Hello, neighbors. Steve here with etrailer.com. Folks, today, let's take a look together at this BulletProof hitch. It's got a nice three-inch-by-three-inch shank on it, an offset, and it has two different ball size options. The whole unit's rated at a whopping 22,000 pounds capacity. So folks, this two-ball, ball mount will let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle.
The solid steel shank here, again, three-inch-by-three-inch, will let you tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. And you can obviously adjust this up or down and flip over the ball mount here or the ball head to a different size that you need. The pin hole here are a standard 5/8-inch diameter hole. I do recommend you buying a locking hitch pin. There's no hitch pin or clip included with this setup, but I recommend if you do get one, obviously, to use it, I would recommend a locking one just because you wanna, you know, insure your investment here.
Now, I also wanna point out why I gotta put it at this angle, I don't know if you can notice, but the corners here have kind of been shaved at an angle. I like that because a lot of times, different manufacturers have different tolerances on their hitches. Even though they say three inches, some are tighter than others. This kinda gives you a little extra wiggle room, if you will, to get in and out of that hitch on your vehicle. There are seven mounting positions available.
Keep in mind, each position takes two pins, so that's where you're getting that seven from. With the nice offset design, it's gonna allow you to drop or rise without the ball mount needing to be flipped over every time, but it still will let you open your vehicle's tailgate with plenty of clearance. Now, the channel itself here on the front is a 5/16 inch thick while the gussets top and bottom are a half-inch thick welded gusset plate. The hitch balls themselves are welded onto the mount here. You have a two-inch that's rated at 12,000 pounds towing capacity.
And if you flip it over, you got the 2-5/16-inch rated at 22,000 pounds capacity. Either/or, the max tongue weight, so the downward force on the tongue at the coupler, is 3,000 pounds rated. Overall height is 18 inches, top to bottom. The total length of the platform when it's installed is about 18-1/4 inches long. Without the ball on there, from here to here, is about 13-5/8 inches long. And from the center of the farthest-away pin hole to the center of the ball is 15 inches. The center of the closer one to the center of the ball is 13-1/2 inches. Now, I'm gonna throw up some more dimensions here on the screen. Feel free to pause the video in the future if you rewatch this or if you need to now to get any other dimensions. We try to post everything from the manufacturer there to get you every possible dimension out there. Folks, it does have a nice limited lifetime warranty. It's a hardened, heavy-duty steel. It has a matte black powder coat finish. It's got like some grip on the finish. I wish you could see just a little better, but it's got a nice grip finish to it. And like I said, everything here is gonna be rust-preventative coating and corrosion resistant as well. Now, the two pins down here, those are nickel undercoated with a zinc top coat that's also gonna be corrosion resistant and also give you strength and endurance on those pins. The whole item is SAE J648 or SAE J684 certified, I apologize. Now, that's gonna is gonna be ideal for ground clearances of 20 to 21 inches. That measurement's taken from the bottom of the outside of your hitch tube down to the ground. That's gonna give you your best amount of clearance with this type of specific ball mount. Well, folks, again, this is our look at the BulletProof hitch. Real quick before we end here, I wanna also let you know they include some lubrication right there. That little tube is used on top of both of the balls and also maybe a little bit on the shank itself. More importantly, a lot of people don't grease the balls here. You wanna do that the way the coupler and whenever it's on here and you're making corners, it's twisting, it's not having noise, it's not getting stuck or jammed, and it's just gonna give you a lot better up inside of there as well, keeping all the components of the coupler itself that actually hug and come around this. I bought this hitch just under one year. To date, the hitch has performed fine. HOWEVER, the cheap powder coating has turned the entire hitch into a an eyesore. Its just rusting like mad, and the powder coat is now flaking in large chunks. Looks like crap on the back of the truck. I don't even live in an area where salt accumulates or they use it on the roadway.
Heavy but does the job for my trailers and trailers I rent for equipment hauling.
Still functioning and looking as excellent as it did the day it arrived. Well built hitch, truly fits my needs.

I need a solution for my BMW SUV to tow my boat and trailer with two ball sizes and very different height requirements. This worked perfectly. The name Bulletproof fits well - I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and engineering.
Sent me the wrong hitch. Ordered the 6” drop, received the 4” drop. Hitch itself is ok, powder coating wore off ball and where it goes into receiver on first use.
So far I am extremely happy with this hitch. It is very heavy duty. My towing capacity has changed and needed to upgrade to a heavy duty hitch. I have no doubts this is going to be Bulletproof!! It is very well built and a solid shank.

I purchased the 2-1/2" Bulletproof Adj Ball Mount for my 2019 RAM 2500 (Laramie, 4WD, 20" Rims&Tires, Off-Road Suspension) to have 1 mount for various trailers. This replaces various 2" mounts used on my 01 Silverado 2500. This is one serious, substantial piece of equipment! Heavy, good welds, nice powder coating! Pix compares this mount with a 7500# 2" Draw-tite mount. Nothing wrong with the Draw-tite, but no comparison in mass.
Some measurements, if interested: Truck: inside top of Receiver: 25" above grade. Bottom of mount without balls: 9-3/4" above grade (clearance). With 2-5/16" ball up: At lowest point: Top of Ball: 17" above grade. bottom of 2" ball: 9-1/4" above grade (clearance). At highest point: Top of Ball: 26-7/8" above grade. With 2" Ball up: At lowest point: Top of Ball: 16-1/2" above grade; bottom of 2-5/16" ball: 8-3/4" above grade (clearance). At highest point: Top of Ball: 26-1/2" above grade.

This hitch ball mount is a beast for sure. It has a nice appearance and a lot of weight. i do not see it letting me down at anytime. i also think that spacers could be provided to eliminate excess play. The web site is greatand was very helpfull. However, once ordered i thought the etrailer logistics, in house tracking process was a little misleading, if i see it is packaged not sure why it did not ship until 2 days later. of course, i am not on the ground not seeing everything going on might change my mind about the last comment. Needed a high quality hitch to haul my new demco Kar Kaddy 2, also an etrailer purchase, that I could adjust to get just the right height with my Rv or suv. This hitch fits the bill. I installed it with the adjustment portion up to accomplish my lack of heights. I also included a photo of the demco Kar Kaddy SS and the rhino racks I got from you. I’m all set to travel now.

Extremely noisy. Powder coat peeled almost immediately and the tolerances on the pins makes this rattle horribly. I finally got so sick of the noise I cut foam to put between the ball mount and receiver. This hitch has not seen much use and only for light duty (under 10k lbs). I won't buy another one. All of the other hitches we have are Andersen Rapid Hitch. I tried this after all the claims by BulletProof on how great they are. Very disappointed
I own several adjustable 2-1/2" hitches and like this one a lot. It isn't terribly heavy for being steel and is very easy to adjust. I like the pins versus the key-operated mechanism on my aluminum adjustable hitch. Works great with my Chevy 2500 and various trailers and boats from 5000 to 14000 lbs.
Well packaged, fast shipping, it's going to give me the adjustability I need on my hitch and maintain the hitch towing capacity.
Super hefty - better than expected.
Once I found what I was looking for I placed my order and received it sooner than expected. My truck has a10” lift with 37” tires which made it hard at times when pulling a trailer but being able to adjust the height on the hitch for the trailer is easier with the Bullet Proof Hitch. You can see the difference on the before and after pictures. This will make it easier pulling my motorcycle trailer and toys with my truck.

The hitch looks very well made. I recently made some changes to my 02 F250 and needed a drop hitch.I mostly pull a #10000 GTW equipment trailer but occasionally pull a #14000 GTW dump trailer and a utility trailer with a 2" ball. This hitch fits my needs perfectly.
