Question:

I’m looking at your Tri-ball hitches. I see you have a 3” shank with a 4-1/2” drop. But no 3” shank with a 5” drop option?

Hi Tommy; that's correct there isn't a 3-ball ball mount for a 3 inch hitch with exactly a 5 inch drop. The closest is a 4-1/2 inch drop like you said with the 21,000 lb max capacity B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BWTS30048B.

There is another option with a bit closer to the drop you want - 5-1/4 inches - but it's a 2-ball mount. I know you asked for the tri-ball but I did want to just throw this out there as an option. For that you would need the 22,000 lb max capacity BulletProof Hitches 2-Ball Mount # HD304 or 36,000 lb max capacity BulletProof Hitches 2-Ball Mount # ED304.

While ideally you want to be perfectly level, if you're up to a half-inch off you'll still get good performance from your truck and trailer. The only other thing I wanted to mention is to secure these ball mounts to your 3" hitch you'll need the Hitch Lock # 34061074-D.
