Because of its sturdy steel construction, this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount can handle loads up to 36,000 lbs, making it perfect for heavy-duty towing jobs.
The adjustable channel is made of 5/16" thick, laser-cut steel plates. These steel plates can handle high capacities without bending. And because of the laser cutting, the channel plates have consistently sized pin holes, so you can easily remove or reposition the hitch ball platform.
A 1/2" thick steel gusset is welded between the shank and the channel, bracing the mount and keeping the channel from bending, even at the maximum drop or rise.
The solid steel shank is CNC -chamfered, making it easy to slide the shank into and out of your hitch receiver. And with no sharp edges on the shank, the powder coating is less likely to chip and peel.
Each adjustable mount includes a 2-ball platform, which fits in the adjustable channel. The 2 hitch balls are welded onto the solid steel platform for maximum strength and stability.
Finally, the pins and clips included with the ball mount are made of heat-treated steel to withstand the heavy weight from your load. The nickel undercoat with zinc topcoat provides corrosion resistance and ensures the strength of the pin.

To set up this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount, insert the 3" x 3" shank into your hitch's receiver. Instead of using the included ball to tow, you can install a weight distribution shank (358WEIGHTDIST) in the channel of the mount to attach your weight distribution system. Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at this Bulletproof Hitches Extreme Duty Adjustable two ball mount for three inch hitches. This adjustable ball mount has a maximum capacity of 36,000 pounds. Making it ideal for extreme heavy duty towing applications. This shank is gonna slide into your three inch hitch receiver on your vehicle, and it is ideal for vehicles with a 19 inch to 21 inch clearance from the ground, to the bottom of the inside of your receiver tube. Now this adjustable, the adjustable height, lets you tow trailers of different Heights with the same vehicle.
The hitch ball platform is gonna slide up or down the channel and secure in place with the included pin and clips that you see here. And this adjustable channel is made of 5/16ths of an inch thick laser cut steel plates. These plates can handle high capacities without bending, and because of the laser cutting, the channel plates have consistently sized pin holes. So you can easily remove or reposition the hitch ball platform, and let me just give you a demonstration of that. It's one of the things I'm really impressed with from Bulletproof Hitches is just the ease.
Just the ease it is to adjust the ball platform. So I have this on a two inch ball. Easily move this over to a two and 5/16ths inch ball, and again, I'm just gonna slide the pin in. If you notice there's no struggling. It doesn't catch on the inside of the adjustment holes.
It just slides right in when you have the holes lined up, and so you're not going to be struggling with this when you are adjusting this. So a very smooth operation there, and it just really does speak to the quality of the build of this ball mount. Now speaking of these pin and clips, these are made of heat treated steel to withstand heavy weight from your load, and the zinc finish provides corrosion resistance. As you can see, there are six adjustment holes, and that's going to allow four mounting positions. Providing a maximum drop of about seven and a quarter inches, and then when you flip this over, you're gonna get a maximum rise of about six and a quarter inches and that adjustment hole diameter is five eighths of an inch.
Now on the two inch ball, you can tow up to 12,000 pounds, and on the two and 5/16ths inch balls, you can tow up to 36,000 pounds. The maximum tongue weight capacity is 6,000 pounds. And again, just talking about the ruggedness and the extreme heavy duty nature of this hitch, the balls are welded directly to the ball platform to provide that extra sturdiness that you need. This is made in the USA of heavy duty steel construction that's strong enough to handle large trailers and heavy cargo. Another thing I really like about these hitches from Bulletproof Hitches is that it does have this really nice matte powder coat finish. It's textured so not only is it going to make your ball platform ball mount look really good on the back of your vehicle, but it's going to practically protect this from rust and corrosion even after repeated use. The solid steel shank is CNC chamfered, making it easy to slide the shank in and out of your hitch receiver. So there's no sharp edges here on the shank. So that powder coating is gonna be less likely to chip or peel. Now the hitch pin hole diameter is five eighths of an inch. I do wanna mention that a pin and clip or a hitch lock for securing this to your hitch receiver arsal separately. So if you don't have a compatible pin and clip already, that would be a separate purchase. However, since really this is an investment, I would recommend taking a look at our hitch lock options here at etrailer.com to safely secure your investment to the back of your vehicle. A half inch thick steel gusset, as you can see right here is welded in between the shank and the channel. No more slop with the 3" to 2" adapter. This thing is a beast and works great. Real simple install and easy to switch between the ball sizes.
Awesome product. Fit and finish are nice, Should have a trailer on it in no time. BTW this thing is stout. Solid 3” shank is a heavy unit. Shipped quick and no shipping cost!

Awesome product and great price. This Bulletproof hitch is definitely well built. I see no problems ahead with this hitch.
I bought this hitch just under one year. To date, the hitch has performed fine. HOWEVER, the cheap powder coating has turned the entire hitch into a an eyesore. Its just rusting like mad, and the powder coat is now flaking in large chunks. Looks like crap on the back of the truck. I don't even live in an area where salt accumulates or they use it on the roadway.
Beyond expectations. People come by complimenting on my hitch and asking where I bought it. I did not realize other hitches break. Well, this one won't break
Extremely noisy. Powder coat peeled almost immediately and the tolerances on the pins makes this rattle horribly. I finally got so sick of the noise I cut foam to put between the ball mount and receiver. This hitch has not seen much use and only for light duty (under 10k lbs). I won't buy another one. All of the other hitches we have are Andersen Rapid Hitch. I tried this after all the claims by BulletProof on how great they are. Very disappointed
I own several adjustable 2-1/2" hitches and like this one a lot. It isn't terribly heavy for being steel and is very easy to adjust. I like the pins versus the key-operated mechanism on my aluminum adjustable hitch. Works great with my Chevy 2500 and various trailers and boats from 5000 to 14000 lbs.
So far I am extremely happy with this hitch. It is very heavy duty. My towing capacity has changed and needed to upgrade to a heavy duty hitch. I have no doubts this is going to be Bulletproof!! It is very well built and a solid shank.
I need a solution for my BMW SUV to tow my boat and trailer with two ball sizes and very different height requirements. This worked perfectly. The name Bulletproof fits well - I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and engineering.
The hitch looks very well made. I recently made some changes to my 02 F250 and needed a drop hitch.I mostly pull a #10000 GTW equipment trailer but occasionally pull a #14000 GTW dump trailer and a utility trailer with a 2" ball. This hitch fits my needs perfectly.

This is quite a robust hitch. I received it in record time and it's already mounted to our motorhome First trip starts this coming weekend so we shall see but I believe this hitch is exactly what we need to tow a 24 ft. flatbed trailer with our Ford Expedition.
