This adjustable ball mount has a maximum capacity of 36,000 lbs, making it ideal for heavy-duty towing. The adjustable channel is made of 5/16" thick, laser-cut steel plates. These steel plates can handle high capacities without bending. And because of the laser cutting, the channel plates have consistently sized pin holes, so you can easily remove or reposition the hitch ball platform.
A 1/2" thick steel gusset is welded between the shank and the channel, bracing the mount and keeping the channel from bending, even at the maximum drop or rise.
The solid steel shank is CNC -chamfered, making it easy to slide the shank into and out of your hitch receiver. And with no sharp edges on the shank, the powder coating is less likely to chip and peel.
Each adjustable mount includes a 2-ball platform, which fits in the adjustable channel. The 2 hitch balls are welded onto the solid steel platform for maximum strength and stability.
Finally, the pins and clips included with the ball mount are made of heat-treated steel to withstand the heavy weight from your load. The nickel undercoat with zinc topcoat provides corrosion resistance and ensures the strength of the pin.
<>To set up this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount, insert the 3" x 3" shank into your hitch's receiver. Slide the 2-ball platform into the adjustable channel, then use the included pins and clips to secure the platform at the height you need. If you need to switch hitch balls, just remove the pins and clips, flip the ball platform over, and reinsert the pins and clips to secure the balls in place. It's that easy.
This BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount is compatible with a wide variety of accessories (sold separately). Instead of using the included ball to tow, you can install a weight distribution shank (358WEIGHTDIST) in the channel of the mount to attach your weight distribution system. Add a clevis (358CLEVIS) or shackle attachment (358EDSA) for off-road or recovery operations. Or simply add a hitch step (358STEP) to easily access your truck bed.

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we'll be taking a look at the BulletProof hitch ball mount. So this fits into your three-inch hitch receivers and this is the extreme duty version with a weight capacity of up to 36,000 pounds. So we have this on our motorhome, you can also use this with your trucks as long as you have a three-inch hitch receiver. With this, you are gonna get two balls. So it's an adjustable ball mount, which means you can put it in the top position, the bottom position, you can switch it around so you can get a rise or a drop.
Now depending on what position you have, you will have different weight capacities, as well as different measurements. So in this video, I'll guide you through that. So first off, we have two different ball mounts. So we have a two inch and then we have a 2 5/16. So depending on which one you're using, you are gonna have a different weight capacity.
The two inch will have 12,000 pounds and then the 2 5/16 will have 36,000 pounds. So if you need to tow different trailers you have a very easy adjustment process. So let's say you need to use the two-inch ball, you just adjust it by taking out these pins and these clips. This will also help you for if you need to adjust the rise or the drop. So the holes are spaced about two inches apart.
So you got your ball mount, you then take your pins off. Once those pins are off, you can then just rotate the ball mount. You have four different options. I do like how you have the option of taking that ball mount out, because if you need to switch this over to, from the drop position into the rise position, then taking out that portion makes it a little bit lighter. With this being solid steel, it is a heavy ball mount.
So anything you can do to make it easier is helpful. Let's pop this in here and pin it into place. You can see there's actually two hitch pinholes in there. So depending on your truck or your motorhome, you might wanna pick one or the other for how far you want your ball mount to stick out. So this does not include a hitch pin. You will have to get your own and make sure to get one that matches your three-inch hitch receiver. Something you can take a look at is the InfiniteRule locking pin set. So that way you can get a hitch pin that will match, plus you can lock it in place to make sure the ball mount is secure. So taking some measurements for closest point we're gonna measure from the center of the hitch pin hole to that fin here. And for the furthest hitch pin hole, that's five inches of clearance. Now the closer hitch pin hole will give you three inches of clearance. Keep that in mind, especially for motorhomes, just because that fascia might get close for the closer hole. So the highest rise is gonna be 6 1/4 inches, we measured from the top of the inside edge of the hitch receiver. The lowest drop in the drop position is going to be 7 1/4 inches. You have this really nice matte black powder coat over both the ball platform as well as the ball mount. And this not only keeps things looking sleek but it helps blend in with your hitch receiver. The pins holding them in place are corrosion-resistant. And you have this zinc top coat to not only keep it rust free while you're out and about in the elements, but also to give it strength for the whole pin. Now if you want more of a rise and drop or less of a rise and drop that this one has, you can get this exact same ball mount in those different sizes and they work the exact same way. Now you might wonder what is the right ball mount for you. So a similar ball mount to this is gonna be the Curt two-ball adjustable ball mount. You can adjust that one up and down as well. They're also pretty similar when it comes to price. The main difference between the two, between the Curt and the BulletProof, is that the BulletProof has a maximum towing capacity of 36,000 pounds. The Curt has a maximum in the 20,000 range. So for your extreme duty towing, the BulletProof one will definitely be the option for you. No more slop with the 3" to 2" adapter. This thing is a beast and works great. Real simple install and easy to switch between the ball sizes.
Awesome product. Fit and finish are nice, Should have a trailer on it in no time. BTW this thing is stout. Solid 3” shank is a heavy unit. Shipped quick and no shipping cost!

I received hitch from UPS and whent to install hitch onto truck, I had noticed that the package was missing a pin for the ball assembly. I didn't call for replacement,I think I'll be buying hitch pins locks.
I need a solution for my BMW SUV to tow my boat and trailer with two ball sizes and very different height requirements. This worked perfectly. The name Bulletproof fits well - I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and engineering.
So far I am extremely happy with this hitch. It is very heavy duty. My towing capacity has changed and needed to upgrade to a heavy duty hitch. I have no doubts this is going to be Bulletproof!! It is very well built and a solid shank.
I bought this hitch just under one year. To date, the hitch has performed fine. HOWEVER, the cheap powder coating has turned the entire hitch into a an eyesore. Its just rusting like mad, and the powder coat is now flaking in large chunks. Looks like crap on the back of the truck. I don't even live in an area where salt accumulates or they use it on the roadway.
I purchased the 2-1/2" Bulletproof Adj Ball Mount for my 2019 RAM 2500 (Laramie, 4WD, 20" Rims&Tires, Off-Road Suspension) to have 1 mount for various trailers. This replaces various 2" mounts used on my 01 Silverado 2500. This is one serious, substantial piece of equipment! Heavy, good welds, nice powder coating! Pix compares this mount with a 7500# 2" Draw-tite mount. Nothing wrong with the Draw-tite, but no comparison in mass.
Some measurements, if interested: Truck: inside top of Receiver: 25" above grade. Bottom of mount without balls: 9-3/4" above grade (clearance). With 2-5/16" ball up: At lowest point: Top of Ball: 17" above grade. bottom of 2" ball: 9-1/4" above grade (clearance). At highest point: Top of Ball: 26-7/8" above grade. With 2" Ball up: At lowest point: Top of Ball: 16-1/2" above grade; bottom of 2-5/16" ball: 8-3/4" above grade (clearance). At highest point: Top of Ball: 26-1/2" above grade.

Sent me the wrong hitch. Ordered the 6” drop, received the 4” drop. Hitch itself is ok, powder coating wore off ball and where it goes into receiver on first use.

This hitch ball mount is a beast for sure. It has a nice appearance and a lot of weight. i do not see it letting me down at anytime. i also think that spacers could be provided to eliminate excess play. The web site is greatand was very helpfull. However, once ordered i thought the etrailer logistics, in house tracking process was a little misleading, if i see it is packaged not sure why it did not ship until 2 days later. of course, i am not on the ground not seeing everything going on might change my mind about the last comment. Needed a high quality hitch to haul my new demco Kar Kaddy 2, also an etrailer purchase, that I could adjust to get just the right height with my Rv or suv. This hitch fits the bill. I installed it with the adjustment portion up to accomplish my lack of heights. I also included a photo of the demco Kar Kaddy SS and the rhino racks I got from you. I’m all set to travel now.
