dimensional diagram

This adjustable ball mount has a maximum capacity of 36,000 lbs, making it ideal for heavy-duty towing. The solid steel construction is strong enough to handle large trailers and heavy cargo, and the matte powder coat finish will protect the ball mount from rust and corrosion, even after repeated use. The BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount gives you the strength you need to tow your big loads. And its durable, long-lasting construction can stand the test of time.

Heavy-Duty Construction

Because of its sturdy steel construction, this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount can handle loads up to 36,000 lbs, making it perfect for heavy-duty towing jobs.

ED304 channel

The adjustable channel is made of 5/16" thick, laser-cut steel plates. These steel plates can handle high capacities without bending. And because of the laser cutting, the channel plates have consistently sized pin holes, so you can easily remove or reposition the hitch ball platform.

ED304 gusset

A 1/2" thick steel gusset is welded between the shank and the channel, bracing the mount and keeping the channel from bending, even at the maximum drop or rise.

bulletproof 3.0 shank

The solid steel shank is CNC -chamfered, making it easy to slide the shank into and out of your hitch receiver. And with no sharp edges on the shank, the powder coating is less likely to chip and peel.

bulletproof hitches ball platform

Each adjustable mount includes a 2-ball platform, which fits in the adjustable channel. The 2 hitch balls are welded onto the solid steel platform for maximum strength and stability.

bulletproof hitches pins and clips

Finally, the pins and clips included with the ball mount are made of heat-treated steel to withstand the heavy weight from your load. The nickel undercoat with zinc topcoat provides corrosion resistance and ensures the strength of the pin.

Setting Up the BulletProof Ball Mount

To set up this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount, insert the 3" x 3" shank into your hitch's receiver. Slide the 2-ball platform into the adjustable channel, then use the included pins and clips to secure the platform at the height you need. If you need to switch hitch balls, just remove the pins and clips, flip the ball platform over, and reinsert the pins and clips to secure the balls in place. It's that easy.

BulletProof Ball Mount Accessories

This BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount is compatible with a wide variety of accessories (sold separately). Instead of using the included ball to tow, you can install a weight distribution shank (358WEIGHTDIST) in the channel of the mount to attach your weight distribution system. Add a clevis (358CLEVIS) or shackle attachment (358EDSA) for off-road or recovery operations. Or simply add a hitch step (358STEP) to easily access your truck bed.

Video Transcript for Complete Breakdown of the BulletProof Hitches 2-Ball Mount for 3" Hitch

Presenter Hey everyone, it's Eve Angeline here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at our Bulletproof hitches. Two ball, adjustable ball mount with a maximum capacity of 36,000 pounds. So this is a two inch as well as a two and five 16th inch ball. So if you have different trailer couplers you can adjust it as needed. Now you will have a different weight capacity depending on which one you use on the ball platform. So for the two inch, that's gonna be a 12,000 pound maximum towing capacity.

And then for your two and five 16ths that's gonna be a maximum 36,000 capacity. So still very impressive. Now this is extreme duty. You have the black powder coat finish, matte black too, which will help resist corrosion, but your pins as well. If you've ever had to deal with rusted pins that you can't take off of the ball mount, well you have a zinc topcoat for these pins that weigh even with it out in the elements.

They will help resist rust. Now there are three positions for adjustments. So you can see how there's those different holes. You can have it top one, bottom one. These holes are two inches apart.

To take it apart, you can see how you can just take the clip out, take the pin out, and then you can easily adjust this up and down or even flip it around for using the different hitch ball. Now this includes two pin and clips for the ball platform fitting onto the ball mount. What it does not include though is the hitch pin for your shank to your hitch receiver. So you are gonna need to pick one up separately. Make sure it matches your three inch hitch receiver.

And you can even take a look at some of our options like the infinite rule locking pin set if you wanna secure your ball mount. Now since this is made of a solid steel, it's super heavy duty, but if you just want to flip it over and switch it from rise to drop, it's actually pretty easy to do. Now there are two hitch pinholes here. That way you can have different adjustment for how far past your hitch receiver you want it to be. So we're going to put it on the furthest hole, but each hole is about two inches apart, which gives you a little bit of option there. So you may want to use the other one depending on where your bumper or your fascia sits. We have this on a motor home. You can have this on a truck as well, as long as you have that three inch hitch receiver. So we measure from the center of that hitch pinhole on that receiver to the closest point, which is this fin. That's going to be six inches away. The length this entire ball mount adds to the back of our hitch is going to be about 15 and a half inches. It gives you about four inches rise or drop. But for more specific measurements, we measure from the top inside edge of your hitch receiver right here. So the maximum rise is going to be four and a quarter inches. The maximum drop or the droppiest drop is going to be five and a quarter inches. So if you want to compare this with maybe some other brand options a close one is the CURT adjustable two ball mount. So very similar design. It has two balls, going to adjust up and down. The main difference is going to be the capacity. This has a maximum capacity of 36,000 pounds while the CURT's maximum capacity is in a 20,000 pound range. So definitely a difference there. If you do like this style, you can get this exact same ball mount with a different rise and drop. But check out our product pages and our pictures and our videos if you want more information so that you can get the right ball mount for you. But this right here right now was a quick look at our Bulletproof Hitches two ball adjustable ball mount right here at etrailer.com..

  • Fit of BulletProof Adjustable Ball Mount on 2018 Ford F350
As long as your 2018 Ford F350 is equipped with the 2-1/2 inch hitch, and the distance from the inside bottom edge of the receiver tube of the hitch to the ground is between 12-18 inches, the BulletProof # MD254 Hitch adjustable ball mount would work great for you. The ball mount provides a 2 and a 2-5/16 inch ball. If your F350 is equipped with the OEM 3 inch hitch, you'd want to use # ED304 instead. You might also consider a keyed-alike locking pin set, part # 34061674-D which secures...

  • Is There a 3-Ball Ball Mount For 3 Inch Hitch With 5 Inch Drop
Hi Tommy; that's correct there isn't a 3-ball ball mount for a 3 inch hitch with exactly a 5 inch drop. The closest is a 4-1/2 inch drop like you said with the 21,000 lb max capacity B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BWTS30048B. There is another option with a bit closer to the drop you want - 5-1/4 inches - but it's a 2-ball mount. I know you asked for the tri-ball but I did want to just throw this out there as an option. For that you would need the 22,000 lb max capacity BulletProof Hitches...
