AJ What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this two-ball platform replacement part for bulletproof hitches. So, it's gonna have a two inch ball here if you flip it up this way and a two and five 16 ball on this side. And this is really for if something had happened to the one you already had, maybe you misplaced it. Maybe you damaged it somehow you need to replace it. One, you don't want to buy a whole new ball mount.

You can just buy this one part. If you need to upgrade your size or change out which ones you have, maybe you got a different trailer that has different size. You can also get the one in seven, eight, and two and five 16 platform ball as well. And then you can replace that. Let's check it out.

So what you're gonna get is you're gonna get the ball platform and then the two replacement pins right here, and why you might need this is maybe you misplaced yours, straight up, you don't know where it is. Or there's something you could have damaged it. You could have had a bad coupler that has a bad round on the inside that has that bad well that sticks out. As you hook up your trailer to the ball, it could just slowly scratch or dig into it over time and ruin the ball. Now it's also a black powder coat, so it could come off and get scratched just by using it in the coupler.

Maybe it looks really bad. You just want one that looks a little bit nicer, and if it's scratched up, like I said, from that well, then it's damaged and it's not going to be the right size for your trailer and that's going to cause you issues down the road. So you want to go ahead and replace that so it's all working good. This is a gooseneck ball. And I just wanted to show you what it looks like over time as worn down.

Now this one has a zinc finish, or did have a zinc finish. Now it's pretty scratched up and what you want to make sure it's very important to go ahead and put that grease on there. It's gonna be the same thing with our platform ball on the bullet proof hitch. You want to make sure they're greased up so it doesn't get this bad and scratched up over time. This is going to be one of the other things, like I said, whether they're getting damaged or want to be replaced, you can see what happens to these as you use it really often. When you get it back down here, it goes on there just like the other one did. Put it in place. Line up. It's been holes, slides through there, put our pins and clips that are included right back like they were. Something that I will recommend upgrading is if you did lose the ball platform you had before, you might want to replace it with some locking hitch pins that they offer. So you can pick these up separately. That way you can lock them just in case, maybe you had some issues with somebody who took yours. Cause you just had the clips in here. This will keep that from happening again. One thing to note, if you are replacing one that you damaged or that the coupler scratched up, something to help prevent that is the grease that comes with the original bulletproof hitch ball mount itself. It's going to have a little bit of that. Putting that on the ball when you go to put it in the coupler, it's just gonna help it out and help it not get scratched up a whole bunch. So hopefully you don't have to replace it again or nothing like that happens where you have to get another one. This should last you though, it's just as heavy duty as the other one. It's got the same weight capacities. You got the two inch ball and a two and five 16th ball. So everything's gonna be the exact same as when you first bought it and work just as well. Overall, it's a replacement part, it's gonna do exactly what the old one did just like I said, same weight capacities. It's gonna work just as well.
