Because of its sturdy steel construction, this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount can handle loads up to 36,000 lbs, making it perfect for heavy-duty towing jobs.
The adjustable channel is made of 5/16" thick, laser-cut steel plates. These steel plates can handle high capacities without bending. And because of the laser cutting, the channel plates have consistently sized pin holes, so you can easily remove or reposition the hitch ball platform.
A 1/2" thick steel gusset is welded between the shank and the channel, bracing the mount and keeping the channel from bending, even at the maximum drop or rise.
The solid steel shank is CNC -chamfered, making it easy to slide the shank into and out of your hitch receiver. And with no sharp edges on the shank, the powder coating is less likely to chip and peel.
Each adjustable mount includes a 2-ball platform, which fits in the adjustable channel. The 2 hitch balls are welded onto the solid steel platform for maximum strength and stability.
Finally, the pins and clips included with the ball mount are made of heat-treated steel to withstand the heavy weight from your load. The nickel undercoat with zinc topcoat provides corrosion resistance and ensures the strength of the pin.

To set up this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount, insert the 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" shank into your hitch's receiver. Slide the 2-ball platform into the adjustable channel, then use the included pins and clips to secure the platform at the height you need. If you need to switch hitch balls, just remove the pins and clips, flip the ball platform over, and reinsert the pins and clips to secure the balls in place. It's that easy.
Because of this mount's significant drop, it's recommended that you install a stabilizer kit (358stabilizerbars - sold separately) to prevent any wobbling and to remove strain from your hitch receiver.
This BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount is compatible with a wide variety of accessories (sold separately). Instead of using the included ball to tow, you can install a weight distribution shank (358WEIGHTDIST) in the channel of the mount to attach your weight distribution system. Add a clevis (358CLEVIS) or shackle attachment (358EDSA) for off-road or recovery operations. Or simply add a hitch step (358STEP) to easily access your truck bed.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at this BulletProof Hitches Extreme Duty adjustable 2 ball Mount for 2 1/2 inch hitches. This adjustable ball mount has a maximum capacity of 36,000 pounds. Making it ideal for extreme heavy duty towing. This shank is gonna slide into your 2 1/2 inch hitch receiver on your vehicle.
And it's ideal for vehicles with a 22 to 24 inch clearance from ground to bottom of the inside of the receiver tube. Now the adjustable height lets you tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. The hitch ball platform slides up or down the channel and secures in place with the included pin and clips. This adjustable channel is made of 5/16th of an inch thick laser cut steel plates. These steel plates can handle high capacities without bending and because of the laser cutting the channel plates have consistently size pinholes.
So you can easily remove or reposition the hitch ball platform and let me just show you how easy that is. I'm removing my clips and then I'm just gonna remove my pins and you can see how easy these pins slide out. So I have this on my 2 inch ball. I'm gonna turn this over to my 2-5/16th inch ball and just slide it down here. And again, those pins slide in with hardly any effort whatsoever.
So you're not gonna be struggling with this at all when you're adjusting your ball platform. Let me go ahead and replace the clips. I'm just very impressed with BulletProof Hitches overall and especially the ease of adjusting, not only the height but the ball that you need to use as well. Speaking of these pin and clips, they are made of heat treated steel to withstand the heavy weight from your load and the zinc finish is gonna provide corrosion resistance. As you can see, we have seven adjustment holes that are gonna provide five mounting positions and you're gonna have a maximum drop of about nine and a quarter inches.
And when you flip this over a maximum rise of about nine inches. the adjustment hole diameter is 5/8th of an inch. So you can tow up to 12,000 pounds with the 2 inch ball and 36,000 pounds with the 2-5/16th inch ball. The maximum tongue weight capacity is 6,000 pounds and the hitch balls are welded directly onto the ball platform for extra sturdiness. So again, very durable, very robust, and again, this is definitely built for extreme heavy duty towing. This is made in the USA of heavy duty steel construction that's strong enough to handle large trailers and heavy cargo. And this matte powder coat finish, I'm a big fan of, not only is it attractive and not only is this going to help this ball mount look great on the back of your vehicle but practically it's gonna protect the ball mount from rust and corrosion even after repeated use, it feels like and looks like it's a thick application of this powder coat. So it's not going to easily peel or scratch off. This is again an extreme duty version by BulletProof. It is constructed of a different grade of steel from their heavy duty ball mounts and the solid steel shank is CNC-chamfered making it easy to slide this shank into and out of your hitch receiver. So there's no sharp edges and the on the shank and that powder coating is gonna be less likely to chip and peel. The hitch pin hole diameter is 5/8th of an inch and this does not include a pin and clip or a hitch lock. So if you do not have the compatible pin and clips that would be a separate purchase. However, this is an investment that you're making. So I would definitely recommend checking out the options of hitch locks that we have here at etrailer.com to secure your investment. Now, this also has a half inch thick steel gusset that is welded between the shank and the channel and that's going to brace the mount and keep the channel from bending even at maximum drop rise. And the adjustable ball amount is compatible with a a wide variety of accessories that are sold separately. So instead of using the included ball to tow you can install a weight distribution shank in the channel of the mount to attach your weight distribution system. Beyond expectations. People come by complimenting on my hitch and asking where I bought it. I did not realize other hitches break. Well, this one won't break
This thing is bulletproof. Lol
There's all kinds of things that can and we'll fail when towing but I'll bet this hitch is not one of them. One less thing to worry about. Love it.

Very well made. I needed the 2.5 for my dually. It feels as heavy as the bumper. Lol I won’t have to worry about it ever failing when I’m towing.

Awesome product and great price. This Bulletproof hitch is definitely well built. I see no problems ahead with this hitch.
I bought this hitch just under one year. To date, the hitch has performed fine. HOWEVER, the cheap powder coating has turned the entire hitch into a an eyesore. Its just rusting like mad, and the powder coat is now flaking in large chunks. Looks like crap on the back of the truck. I don't even live in an area where salt accumulates or they use it on the roadway.
Extremely noisy. Powder coat peeled almost immediately and the tolerances on the pins makes this rattle horribly. I finally got so sick of the noise I cut foam to put between the ball mount and receiver. This hitch has not seen much use and only for light duty (under 10k lbs). I won't buy another one. All of the other hitches we have are Andersen Rapid Hitch. I tried this after all the claims by BulletProof on how great they are. Very disappointed
I own several adjustable 2-1/2" hitches and like this one a lot. It isn't terribly heavy for being steel and is very easy to adjust. I like the pins versus the key-operated mechanism on my aluminum adjustable hitch. Works great with my Chevy 2500 and various trailers and boats from 5000 to 14000 lbs.
So far I am extremely happy with this hitch. It is very heavy duty. My towing capacity has changed and needed to upgrade to a heavy duty hitch. I have no doubts this is going to be Bulletproof!! It is very well built and a solid shank.
I need a solution for my BMW SUV to tow my boat and trailer with two ball sizes and very different height requirements. This worked perfectly. The name Bulletproof fits well - I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and engineering.
The hitch looks very well made. I recently made some changes to my 02 F250 and needed a drop hitch.I mostly pull a #10000 GTW equipment trailer but occasionally pull a #14000 GTW dump trailer and a utility trailer with a 2" ball. This hitch fits my needs perfectly.

This is quite a robust hitch. I received it in record time and it's already mounted to our motorhome First trip starts this coming weekend so we shall see but I believe this hitch is exactly what we need to tow a 24 ft. flatbed trailer with our Ford Expedition.
