Note: The weight of the stuck vehicle must not exceed the maximum vehicle weight rating of the strap being used.
If your vehicle is stuck in off-road terrain and has lost the traction it needs to escape, this recovery strap will help pull it free. The strap is designed to stretch and recoil. This means that when it is put under tension, the strap stretches until snapping back to its resting length, "slingshotting" the vehicle out of its jam.
This recovery strap has a reinforced loop at either end for securing to the tow vehicle and the recovery vehicle. Once the strap is attached, slowly move the recovery vehicle away from the stuck vehicle. This will initiate the stretch and recoil action and pull the stuck vehicle free.

Today we're going to take a look at the Erickson Recovery Strap with the dual loop nylon reinforced ends. This is the 10 inch wide model, 30 foot long. It's going to give 125,000lb break strength and 62,500lb working load limit or safe vehicle weight limit. Part number on it is EM590808. As you can see we've got a nice wide, heavy-duty stitched material. This is a two-ply layer. This is going to give us great pulling force.
Also it's going to stretch about 10% longer than its actual length to give us that slingshot or that rubber band effect when we're trying to get vehicles out that are really stuck. The heavy-duty stitched nylon reinforced end, it's going to make it very easy to connect to whatever kind of a shackle or recovery system that we're going to use, but, this is also going to give us a nice long-lasting strap because it reinforces our pulling end and prevents that wear and tear. Now than we've gone our features let's show you how this thing works. Now we're here at our recovery vehicle so we're going to take the end of our strap, put that nylon reinforced loop right into our shackle, bring it down closed and make sure it's secure. As you can see our vehicle to be recovered is off in the mud. Now let's give it a tug and get it out of there. That will complete today's look at the Erickson Recovery Strap with the dual-looped, nylon reinforced ends. Part number on it is EM59808. .

The strap does good as far as the weight..... BUT..... The material has frayed too easy and we are watching them closely as far as pulling them out of service. Be sure to keep the strap in a storage bag and keep it as clean as possible.
Great for semis and stuck farm equipment
