Note: Quick Fist clamps are not to be used on exhaust pipes or any pipe that consistently exceeds a temperature of 180 F (82 C).

A new Quick Fist clamp fresh out of the mold can be stiff. Use two hands to open the jaws vertically and then pull each jaw once or twice. Close the jaws and open and close the strap a couple of times. It's now ready for mounting.

For applications where the Quick Fist clamp will be used at or near its maximum opening dimension, the clamp will not work in your hand, as it must be bolted to a fixed surface for the rubber to stretch properly.

Installation

Illustration showing Quick Fist mounting

1. Use #10 bolt or screw to fasten. Do not over-tighten.

2. Mount with the strap facing in any direction.

3. To clamp: put the tool or implement into the jaws. With both of your thumbs on the strap, push strap to reach the desired tightness. Repeat as necessary.

4. For certain applications, like roof racks with round tubing, you can install the Quick Fist clamps using hose clamps. Make sure you center the hose clamp on the plastic washer to avoid cutting into the rubber clamp.

5. For smaller diameter objects, push jaw without strap inside the other jaw and tighten strap on top of jaw.

Installation of High Lift Jacks

You may also install your high lift jack using three Quick Fist clamps spaced evenly along the steel bar of the jack.

1. Drill out a hole in the Quick Fist clamp with a 7/16" (12 mm) bit. Use a 2-1/2" (65 mm) long, 3/8" (10 mm) bolt to attach the clamp.

2. To mount the jack, hold it parallel to the three clamps. Put one end of the jack into a Quick Fist clamp, with the bolt through the steel bar, and then loosely lock the clamp. Next, place the steel bar into the other two clamps and lock. After all three clamps are holding the jack, tighten as necessary.

Video Transcript for Review of Quick Fist Tie Down Straps - Trailer - Truck Bed - QF89FR

Hello, neighbors, Stephen here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Quick Fist Original Clamps. They're gonna be one to two and a quarter inch inner diameter as far as holding material and things, and they can hold 25 pounds each. Now you will get quantity four, just like you see before me. These are gonna be great for emergency vehicles, work trucks, off-road vehicles, military vehicles, maybe ATVs, and boats. So, again, you could just mount 'em pretty much anywhere you want and then you'd be able to put in your shovel, maybe, pick ax, those kinda things, maybe a ax, a flashlight, jacks, those kinda things.

One thing to note with the jacks, there's some special instructions and possibly some modification on installation, so make sure you're reading the instructions on that particular item. Now these do mount with one, sold separately, a number 10 bolt or screw. Again, you have to get that separately, maybe a local hardware store or something of that nature, and basically it's going through the holes here when you're installing it. And then you've got these hard plastic, I'm gonna call 'em a spacer block, but that gets inserted inside and that just kinda helps hold everything. Now one thing to note as well is that, when these are new, like they are now, fresh out of the box, sometimes that rubber can be super stiff.

That's totally normal. The manufacturer recommends either, possibly just leave 'em out in the sun for a couple hours before you install 'em. That'll make 'em a little bit more pliable to work with. Or just kinda work 'em back and forth a lot of times to kinda loosen things up. Keep in mind, it can hold, like I said, up to those two and a quarter inch diameter items.

Right now, without this folded out, that inner diameter's about one and a half inches, as you see. So to get to two and a quarter, obviously it's getting wider. Keep in mind, it's gonna be easier to spread this out whenever you've got it bolted in place. Then you'll be able to really get around it and hook it close. So, again, keep in mind it's rubber, it is pliable, you're gonna have to do some manipulation probably to get certain items in there.

That's just normal. About two and three quarters long that way, and about two and a half that way if I go all the way up here to where the angle comes over. On the width, right about an inch. And, again, each one of these can hold 25 pounds of material and weight. So two of 'em, obviously, 50 pounds. So again, holding something like an off-road jack is doable with these. I think the biggest thing is, with a lot of the farm jacks, they're, like, a rectangular shape versus this circle shape, so, again, just check the instructions on that as far as mounting something of that nature. They are made of a heavy-duty, transportation grade rubber. They're unaffected by climate, chemicals, those kinda things, and they are UV resistant as well. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up. Just a quick look at these Quick Fist Original Clamps. I'm Stephen, thanks for watching.
